  1. MP Supercars..Just down the road from me. [Y] Spoke to Dunc when i was through and he thought it would take about 3hrs for thje work, got an e-mail yesterday and he said it would take 5-6hrs,,[:|] So, roll on next week and the parts will be fitted. Then it's a wee wait to see Andy who is also just along the road.[]
  2. Thanks for the help guys [Y] Cheers for the call Jon, i'll let you know how i get on dood
  3. Imy, have you tried Alyn at AS Performance ? I've bought 1 or 2 things for him and can't fault the service and he's a really nice bloke too. [Y]
  4. Got a reply from Dunc today but I've already booked my car in elsewhere. Thanks for the feedback guys..[]
  5. I've tried both sets of keys Chris but to no avail After i'd put in the pin number it did lock and then re-open the doors and put the light on the dash but still diddly squat. Looks like i'll need to delve into the modding fund to find out once and for all..[:'(]
  6. Cal, i think Grant will break some kind of personal record if he keeps it for a couple of years lol..[] Going by his signature anyway. []
  7. Yes it's the standard Sigma Alarm. Can't remeber the procedure exactly.. When it didn't start i pressed the fob, it locked the doors, pressed it again so both immobiliser lights came and then.. Nothing..[:^)] On saturday night i stooped at the shop ,came out and the same thing happened. then it started after 3 attempts ( still no turn-over).. It's starting to do ma nut in. Am i missing something here ?
  8. Anyone else had problems with Dunc getting back in touch with them ? Went through 2 or 3 weeks ago to get my geometry done and had to hang around for 2-3 hrs as he forgot to book me in. I then asked him about fitting some parts for me and he said ..send me an E-mail and we'll sort something out but Nothing !! Is he really busy, forgetful or just not interested ? It doesn't really fill me with confidece about taking the car through a second time..[:|]
  9. Chris, that's the bit that's confusing me..It's not turning over..after the ignition lights..........Nothing.
  10. Alan, i've not long replaced the fuel pump to support my future mods so i had thought of that but im no mechanic so dont understand what's going on.Never thought about the filter though. Most of the time you Do hear the pump prior to start up but sometimes you Don't.. If it was fuel related wouldn't i hear some noise from the starter instead of silence . It did happen once before i changed the f/pump but i just put it down to phone masts , now it's happening to often for comfort. Thanks for the help so far guys. Much appreciated .[Y]
  11. Hi Dave, First thing i tried was entering the pin number but sadly had no effect (apart from what it's meant to do ) . That's why im starting to wonder what's going on. Hope it's nothing too serious.
  12. Nice motor matey, just like the one my mate at work is thinking about selling . Good choice. [Y]
  13. Very nice Grant, loving the colour. One thing though...are the rear chavy lights replaceable ?
  14. This has happened about 3 or 4 times in the last two weeks. Press key fob and the car opens , use second immobiliser fob thingy, everything seems ok. Turn key and ignition lights come but when i go to start it.....NOTHING........not even a noise. At first i thought it might be parked near a phone mast or the like messing about with the immobiliser but the more it happens the more annoying it gets. Last time it happened i was getting fuel and it took and hour and a half for it to start..WTF ! Anyone had similar problems ?? cheers
  15. Thanks again Russell, always there when i need some advice.. [Y] Cheers
  16. Looks like he'll just need to bite the bullet and start stripping it down and see what's involved while he's doing it.
  17. That's why my mates a little confused Col, he's a mechanic but he can't understand the times given by the Data book at his work. He thought it would have been more straight forward but the times suggest otherwise..[:S]
  18. Right Russell, he's just had a look. Front crank seal 6.8hrs Rear 5.4hrs Timimg belt 2.2hrs. Seems like quite a big job going by the Data book times. How can that be ? What's usually involved and how long for the Fornt crank seal Russell ? Cheers
  19. I'll get him to check Russell.. []
  20. My mate thinks he's got an oil leak coming from the crank seal and is wondering why the data book says 2.5hrs for a timing belt but 5.3hrs for a front crank seal. What's the score guys ? and what's involved ? cheers
  21. Happy Birthday Gus [^]
  22. Your looks absolutely stunning mate, it's a credit to you. Well done and i look forward to hearing about it once it's ran in and mapped. I'll look out for it if your planning a trip to Port Seton. Enjoy
  23. You wont be disappointed Jim, nice and subtle inside the car when in and around town but livens up when putting the foot down
  24. H&S for me. sounds nice and discreet(ish) around town and sounds sweet once the loud pedal is pressed. Had a Magnex before but it wasn't my cup of tea. Maybe time to sell it and clear some of the other stuff in the garage.
  25. Happy Birthday mate .
