1 - If your sidelights won't switch off look for the parking light switch on top of the steering column . 2 - Use the search function on the forum before asking the same old question . 3 - The best first mod for an impreza is the exhaust (backbox at least) 4 - Buy a newage 5 - Make sure you get regular quality oil / filter changes every 3 - 4000 miles 6 - Always run the car on good quality fuel - V Power/BP Ultimate/Tesco 99 and add octane booster for safety in an unremapped import 7 - Avoid "chip"ing an impreza - get it remapped by an expert like Andy Forrest (Apexi for classics, ECUtek for newage) 8- Sell the Newage and buy a Classic 9- Always wait till the engine is nice and warm before giving it full pelt and let it cool down befrore switching it off

had thought about getting a cheap little run around to do over winter but then thought, why bother buying a 4 wheel drive car based on a rally car and not use it ???? i know that the salt and stuff they shove on the roads aint all that good for it but it just means useing the press wash at work a bit more often [][] oh, and a set of winter tyres

Got it in one. A lot of my driving is motorways or dual carriageways. A Scoob is no different to any other car on them and no more fun to drive. However, when I'm heading for my folks and get off the A90 and onto the Banchory/Fettercairn THEN I can have some fun, but again as you say, know the dangers. [Y] []

intercooler spray question
scientific steve replied to scientific steve's topic in Scottish Scoobies
aye peckin laddie aye peckin [] no i aint worried about the temp charge at this time of year it's the bottle freezin up and cracking is what i'm worried about [] as for the piccies, could you send me your e-mail address and i'll pop them thru buddy [] i also have a auto button on my one, just wondering if it's a RA thing, ie cutting down on the smallest bit of weight ?? cheers steve -
it's funny, been talking to a few folk about just this, a few of my mates are bike daft and have been doing quite a few track days over the last 2 or so years we were talking about or driving style before and after the track events seems like most of the aggresive nature is taken out on the track and after when you out on the normal roads you dont feel the need to just go like a hoolie in town i'm a strict speed limit man, i shall admit to times of fustration when a wee blip is done, i aint perfect but i still give it radge on the open/back roads when there aint other folk around but still err on the side of caution, this is due to the unknown factor lurking round that last corner ask the girlfriend, i've backed off big style after folk have thought it safe to 'go for it' and i've just held back to a point where i feel more comfortable to do the same hope this makes some sort of sence
