  9. on the onboard computer i could see about 28mpg when sitting at about 80-90 ish and when you floor it it's like any other car, thirsty ! the one i had had a full bmw service history and i kept it going, so servicing and bits were a tad expensive but how often do we change the oil and bits on scoobs?
  10. i had one, 4 door, boston green LOVED IT, only bad thing was i had to buy a wee fiesta for running in winter when it snowed, it's also a bit interesting in the wet have managed to get it wheel spinning in third going up the hill out of aberdeen you can play about to your hearts content and then just pootle about and the car will take it all in its stride sit in 4th and you can go from 45 - 120 (on a closed road) it feels planted on the road, even though it's rear wheel drive, and you can feel when it's going to let go even when it does you can control it with the right foot i would go for it, but then i do like beemers [:$]

  15. howdie [] you can take it from me that you wont go wrong with the guys from AWD, got them to do a bunch of work to my car and am very happy with the service from the guys the all know a huge amount about scoobs they still could be doing with getting some cusions for the bl00dy seats in the office likes and get the kettle on a bit more often [] ss

  17. i e-mailed their head office and asked if they did a cold air induction kit for my car and guess whit? for some unbeknown fer*** reason they dont do one for the MY98 sti why? was my next question and the responce was that the demands for that type did not reach their financial supply requirements ie canny be airsed to make any more []

  19. alright folks after some advice from your noodles i've decided to go with the frontmount and as i need to get shot of the standard air box i need to get a induction kit this is where i need some advice was thinking on the blitz, what you think ???? answers on a postcard to the usuall address cheers ss
  20. sounds good it's a MY98 sti type R, also did you have any issues with the wheels ? ie how much difference in size between these and the standard subaru 4 pots the reason i ask is i cant fit brembos as the 18" wheels i have wont fit without a spacer many thanks ss
