  1. How about a half chewed toffee caramel sweet ? John PS That's what's brown and sticky, and not an offer for the tyres
  2. I would second Laws tyres in the BoD
  3. No problems, I wasn't planning on selling them until last weekend, when I realised I would need to clear some space in the garage They'll probably still be there in a few months time if you change your mind or are up this way. Cheers John
  4. Yes they do indeed come complete with the tyres, which retail at £180 each (special ones fitted fitted to Spec C etc.) John
  5. Colin, not got any close up pictures I'm afraid. See the ones attached. They are the same as the normal Sti ones, but in anthracite. The attached pictures aren't the best, but are the only ones I have at the moment. I bought them for £600 4 months ago (dealers are selling them for around £800/set), so would be looking for offers around £420. You'll have to be careful if you have a classic Impreza though, as the wider tyres may might catch slightly at the rear under hard cornering, though some people have fitted them without problems. John
  6. I've got a set of STi wheels, 17 inch, in anthracite (metallic grey). 5 months/4,500 miles old, and currently fitted with RE-070 tyres (225/45x17) with about 4 - 5mm of tread left on them. I've fitted my winter wheels now, and these will be sitting in the garage until spring, and I need to free up the space! Open to sensible Offers ?
  7. Must take an age to polish all that paintwork and shiny wheels
  8. Click here for full details Either would make a fantastic Xmas present John
  9. Dave, good to have you back on-line again. John
  10. Phil, you can buy it direct from Fergus at Lotus Ecosse (www.lotusecosse.com), or you can buy it direct from iAUTO (website down at the moment), though you should be able to call them. John
  11. Mark, I'm not sure the Morettes from a MY95 car will fit the type-R, as the bonnet and grilles are different. I know it works the other way (ie MY99 Morettes fit a MY94+), but there's a small gap at the top of the lamp, and at the centre grille. If you try the other way, you might find they are too high for the bonnet to close properly. Might be worth a quick swap this weekend just to check. John
  12. Za, look a few threads above - they have been sold. John
  13. Great stuff Damian
  14. Agree with the above regarding Kinghorn. Top quality work only from them, but not the cheapest. Should be approved by most insurers though. John
  15. From 7:30pm onwards
  16. Of course See you all there. John
  17. Afraid not, can't stand the stuff myself! Russian grain vodka though John
  18. I'll need to ask permission to post them up, and also find webspace etc. Some of the better ones will probably appear in True Grip Cheers John
  19. Yes indeed they were. The chap has taken over 500 photos, and is sending me a copy of them on CD (well 2 actually!). He was around the track most of the day taking photos, and I only met him 15 minutes before the end, but still managed to get him out ina car for the last 10 minutes John
  20. Marc, I was out doing work for BP as well. I was only there for a week, but still managed to get around most of the decent pubs and restaurants it seems. Quite an active ex-pat community out there This was my second trip, so I don't think I'll be going back out again. This time my case was fully loaded with black pudding, haggis, broth mix, rowies and various other Scottish delicacies that you can't get easily out there John
  21. Grant, not had a message from you recently if the message was for me ? I'm just back in the UK after spending 14 hours travelling home, so not 100% up to date yet. Please re-send to john@sidc.co.uk, or pop along tomorrow at Knockhill. Cheers John
  22. Dave, you have a place available, as we've had someone else drop out See you there. Regards John
  23. Marc, there should be enough space for 8 cars. John
  24. Type-R would be more than welcome Can you liase with Ken and Sarah who are organising things. Cheers John
  25. The front reflectors are no longer orange either, instead you have the carbon fibre STI ones. Doubt that would make any difference to an insurance company anyway. Welcome to the STi club John
