About murray_marshall

  1. I am sure Eric (Numptie)would have been there if it was possible, but he is away and will not be back until Saturday. I will make all efforts to be there. CT
  2. Good to hear Tut is improving, if you read this Tut you are missed at the sprints, Ali is getting things far too easy John As for the trackday in October. My car is at RSC Motorsport getting a little work done, it was running rough as a badgers a**e at Golspie, and while they have it they are fitting a Gripper diff, it was one of the things I was going to get done over the winter but as it was there anyway I thought I would just get it done now, so assuming it goes OK at Alford on Sunday a trip to KH later in the month sounds good, get this seasons tyres completely worn out so I get some new ones from Santa CT
  3. I saw a picture of Tut's car there Was anyone speaking with him, if so how is he ? BTW some great pictures, i haven't been to a track day for ages, the sprints and hillclimbs have been taking up so much weekend time, seeing the pictures has made me want to do some again though.
  4. Sorry I couldn't be there but it clashed with the sprint at Boyndie. Sounds like John organised another great day, I certainly enjoyed last years event and if there is another later in the year I will try to be there. CT
  5. Numptie has not been very well recently , he had an operation on earlier this week and was still in hospital last night, he hopes to get out today though. Anyway best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. CT
  6. Salt and ................................. Shake ?
  7. Signed this a couple of weeks ago. On the subject of supporting motorsport, the Fintray hillclimb is this weekend, come along and support motorsport in Scotland, and a couple of SIDC members who are competing, though I will only be there on Sunday, other commitments Saturday
  8. Mine ain't there, probably a good thing. BTW I am now looking for a Katie, not that I like big feet though
  9. BigDaz I hired a trailer from Balgownie Machinery Centre, Aberdeen it cost £65 for the weekend. It isn't cheap but it was a good trailer and was worth it for me at the time. An alternative is to get the car transported, I used Aberdeen Trailers to bring a car from the south of Englandshire (Littlehampton) to Aberdeen, that cost a little over £300, from Leeds it would presumably be less. CT
  10. Is this the 1/4 mile thingy or is it a race meeting ? Weather permitting, I might take the kitcar there on Sunday.
  11. << Newbie question - do you have to take your driving licience with you??? >> I have never been asked to show my licence and I believe that you must only make the declaration that you hold a current licence. However if available it is probably prudent to take it with you just in case you are asked to produce it.
  12. 1 Matt 2 Dougster (1.6 SE exec Civic) 3 Wilky (Millenium Falcon..........if it starts........but if it does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 4 Johnny (silver sti 2) 5 playsatan (black type r) 6 Cal ( wrx 02) 7 dad (red classic) 8 kart_man (Dave) P1 9 CT (Murray) - Sylva Striker - 1600 K series engined kitcar. I have only done 12 miles in the car so I hope there will be some dry laps early on, please !
  13. Thanks Zoelite, but while I don't mind a car which needs a little tidying, I really want something I can drive now. I am possibly going to Plymouth  to see one this weekend - There has got to be something closer ! There is a twin engined Westfield for sale in Aberdeen but it is not road registered - no lights etc - and I need one that is on the road. Cheers CT
  14. Extract from the P&J "But the court heard that Mr MacGregor's Subaru Impreza WRX was a "grey import" from Japan and was therefore fitted with an electronic speed limiter - a legal requirement in its country of origin. The court was told that although cars of this type were usually capable of high speeds and were often used for rallying, this one was not because it had been built for the Japanese market." Aparently he was clocked at 132mph despite his car not being capable of exceeding 107mph, and he was cleared ! While not condoning speeding, and it was not proven he was speeding, would anyone else not have had this restrictor removed. CT
