  14. Stevie Wonder is playing his first gig in Tokyo and the place is absolutely packed to the rafters. In a bid to break the ice with his new audience, Stevie asks if anyone has a request. A little old Japanese man jumps out of his seat in the first row and shouts at the top of his lungs, "Play a Jazz chord! Play a jazz chord!" Amazed that this guy knows about the jazz influences in Stevie's varied career, the blind impresario starts to play an E minor scale and then goes into a difficult jazz melody for about ten minutes. When he finishes, the whole place goes wild. The little old man jumps up again and shouts, "No, no, play a Jazz chord, play a Jazz chord!" A bit peeved by this, Stevie, being the professional that he is, dives straight into a jazz improvisation with his band around the B-flat minor chord and really tears the place apart. The crowd goes wild with this impromptu show of his technical expertise. But the little old man jumps up again. "No, no, no! "Play a Jazz chord, play a jazz chord!" Now truly peeved that this little guy doesn't seem to appreciate his playing ability, Stevie invites him up on the stage and says, "Okay, you start us off." The little old man grabs the mike and starts to sing... "A jazz chord, to say I ruv you ..."
  15. Was thru in Hamilton around 9pm and the lightning was amazing - there were flashes every couple of seconds. Now just overhead and pee'ing down outside
  16. Fairly certain the blobeye STI's DONT have foglights as standard. I also had to remove the shrouds before fitting the covers, and in the year-and-a-bit i've had the car i've never needed to use the front fogs. They are weak as dishwater anyway (IMHO)
  17. I think it's just a wee bit quiet in here @ the mo... Good luck with getting the car sorted though
  18. Parkers are quoting £11,465 for a part-ex, so sounds about right Neil. Bagsy first shot! []
  19. Dave - got your PM - i'm already on spooks' list, and will be travelling down there with the Edinburgh/Lothians mob.
  20. All the best on the day Jon, and Dawn & I wish you both a long & happy future together. During my speech i said, when refering to Dawn' parents: "Whats the difference between Outlaws & Inlaws - Outlaws are wanted!" Went down well with the guests, but got evil stare from the mother-in-law!
  21. Dealers do them, already painted. But only in STI colours, and they have STI stickers on them. Takes ages to peel off. Think i paid about £57 for the pair. Alternatively, try http://www.revolution.eu.com Mind u should get 10& discount if your a paid-up SIDC member.
  22. Cracking pics there - especially the ones of Scott's car (SMA01) - thats is one nice-looking piece of kit.
  23. Very nice - especially like the wheels - same as mine! Yours the hyperblack colour though?
  24. Since the sun was splitting the trees (strange saying that!) i got the car washed & polished today. First chance this year to give it a good polish, managed to get hunners of tars-spots off the front bumper & doors. Managed to get all the over-spray off it too, after the car went into a dealer to have a minor repair done to the front wing. Must have reminded them AT LEAST 4 times that the job MUST be perfect, and it isn't. Ah well, u live an learn. Hopefully get the calipers painted red with white lettering sometime in the next few weeks, get the front splitter back on (just back from painting - should have used Stevie Walker to paint my wing but hindsight is a great thing eh!) and get the white 18" wheels on. My back is killing me now - must try to get some weight off! Anyway, here are a few pics.
