  2. oooo..... Radio 2 beckons you stephen - it happens to us all eventually! Edit: you should have a wee listen to Robbie Sheperd's 'Take The Floor' on BBC Radio Scotland on a Saturday night - http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/radioscotlan...html?take_floor Ye canny beat it!
  3. http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopi...asc&start=0 Try to stay with it for a few pages - the owner comes on to defend his work!
  4. They stickers are only good for your rear calipers chris - the front ones the text will be 'raised' and you'll have to paint the lettering by hand. I painted mine about 2/3 weeks ago (red) and bought some white paint to do the lettering, but i can't be ersed now!
  5. now says "video was removed because it was inappropriate"
  6. Bought myself a Tosh 37WLT58 37" LCD telly from John Lewis in October last year - great set, and JL give you a 5yr warranty with all their telly's!! Waiting 6-8 months until Sky HD comes down a bit in price before I purchase, then i hope to really see a difference. Used avforums.com while making my choice - it's a great souce of information & advice, both before and after you've made your choice.
  7. BMW 530d with the M5 alloys. Or the brand-new shape M5 if i could afford one. Either that or an Audi A8
  8. Really sorry to hear your bad news mate. []
  9. Stevie Walker over in Bathgate is quite popular. Done a few bits on mine, no complaints. 01506 633 471.
  10. Sure is stephen, doesn't seem like it to us either. Back on topic though..... anyone else got hints or tips, preferably ones that don't involve putting brake fluid on my car! (i can only assume that was an attempt at humour there dave)
  11. Neil Cheers - but just remembered it's our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday so we got plans [] Looks like it'll need to wait to next week now [N]
  12. Paul, Dunno what brand they are, as i'm still waiting for one of our engineers to drop them off! We use them for cleaning the ends of bare fibre optic cable before we splice ends on. Was hoping to get these fitted @ the weekend, weather permitting. If i dont manage to get them i'll try some meths.
  13. Ricey - i'll let you know how I get on - cheers. Niall - thanks for the offer - i'll bear it in mind! Paul - Yep, thought of that - the instructions mention K500 primer, but none is included in the pack of fixings etc. I searched the tinternet and a couple of places say this is just a degreaser - so i've managed to get hold of a few ispropanol wipes. The instructions say wipe once, let it dry fully then wipe again before applying the parts. Do you have any other recommendations on what types of cleaner to use, and where to get them? Thanks for the words of advice though!
  14. As above... Looking for someone reasonably local to give me a hand to fit something to my car. As some of you may remember, I got wind-deflectors fitted to my blobeye late summer of last year. These are the bits that go up the A-pillar and along the roof-line. A west-coast Subaru dealer fitted them, but unfortunately a noise appeared straight afterwards which was pretty loud inside the cabin. The dealer took the car back twice and tried to fix but without success, so they gave me my money back (parts + the fitting) - which I thought was very good of them. The parts are held on by both double-sided sticky tape and clips, and I was told that they can be removed if need be, but they cannot be re-fitted. It was only the passenger-side one that was causing the problem last time, the drivers side was fine. The dealer removed both sides when they refunded me. I decided last week to buy another set of these (approx. £60) and they are at home awaiting fitting - didnt fancy paying another £60+ for an hours labour. I plan on following the instructions EXACTLY with the hope that either the garage didnt fit the passenger side one properly last time, or there was a small flaw in the actual part. My fingers are crossed and double-crossed that there is no repitition of the noise this time! So..... anyone local fancy lending a hand? Just to basically read the instructions & make sure i'm interpreting them correctly, and i'm actually following them properly! I have a bit of a tendency to cut corners occasionally.
  15. Or how about you bid for these ones on eBay that i'm selling [] http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1
  16. St3phen, I think you should relate this probably amusing story that happened to an old friend of yours! Andy P.S. was that you on the M8 this morning about 8.45am?
  17. nice idea that, sending files to the car from the house. Might get more common in time. I have a Pioneer that has an iPod attachment - iPod is then tucked away (and is remove from the car every time i leave it btw) and is controlled by the Pioneer headunit. Agree with stephen - the standard head unit is a bit crap, MRD fitted my head unit & Pioneer custom-fits in all 4 doors for me. Alan in MRD is the guy to speak to - your probably talking maybe £600 for a decent head unit, the iPod adaptor and 4 decent speakers.
  18. John - have a look at - he sells very high quality midflaps in a range of colours, for about £165 for a set of four. If your a full SIDC member you get 10% discount too, i believe.
  19. Welcome to the forum Shaun, nice motor you got there. [Y]

  22. Hullo & Welcome to the forums stuart - nice motor you got there. Edinburgh & Lothians meets are normally middle of every month - keep an eye on the Events section. There was one last night. They are normally at the Brewers Fayre in Brucefield Industry Park, Livingston but are sometimes in Edinburgh - there has been a bowling night organised @ the Deer Park Livi too (hopefully have one of them again soon sometime!) Scott (user name Spooks) is the Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Organiser (RO) - keep an eye out for him.
