As above...
Looking for someone reasonably local to give me a hand to fit something to my car.
As some of you may remember, I got wind-deflectors fitted to my blobeye late summer of last year. These are the bits that go up the A-pillar and along the roof-line.
A west-coast Subaru dealer fitted them, but unfortunately a noise appeared straight afterwards which was pretty loud inside the cabin. The dealer took the car back twice and tried to fix but without success, so they gave me my money back (parts + the fitting) - which I thought was very good of them.
The parts are held on by both double-sided sticky tape and clips, and I was told that they can be removed if need be, but they cannot be re-fitted. It was only the passenger-side one that was causing the problem last time, the drivers side was fine. The dealer removed both sides when they refunded me.
I decided last week to buy another set of these (approx. £60) and they are at home awaiting fitting - didnt fancy paying another £60+ for an hours labour. I plan on following the instructions EXACTLY with the hope that either the garage didnt fit the passenger side one properly last time, or there was a small flaw in the actual part. My fingers are crossed and double-crossed that there is no repitition of the noise this time!
So..... anyone local fancy lending a hand? Just to basically read the instructions & make sure i'm interpreting them correctly, and i'm actually following them properly! I have a bit of a tendency to cut corners occasionally.
