  1. why not try my teflon wax ask sammy the shammy and tommy t-cut and blue dragon how good it is and its in your price range geo Geo, I use the blackfire all finish paint protection stuff and i'm quite happy with it, but cheers though.
  2. I'm probably known on this forum for being fairly anal about cleaning my car, but no way would I spend anything over £100 on a tub of wax. Each to their own though.
  3. And yes Brian, I got my car back on Wednesday afternoon. All nice & shiny again
  4. Aye Dawn is ok - bit shook up and a bit upset, she is starting to get a sore neck but it'll probably be away after a good nights sleep. Gran (my gran btw) is fine too, she's in her mid 80's and a bit frail, and it was her side of the car that got hit so she's a wee bit shook up too. Hopefully the car will get fixed, although this is the 3rd knock the car's had (it's only 3 years old) - someone reversed into it when Dawn was in Tesco's in early 2005 (no note so had to go down as her fault) - then the incident with the running man in May 2005. We did look at getting a new 206 or 207 about 6 weeks ago but finances were a bit too tight. Funnily enough, it was a red one she was going to get.
  5. Some nice work there Brian [Y] Happy birthday by the way [^]
  6. Spotted this on the BBC News website: A 19-year-old man has died and six people were injured after two cars collided in East Renfrewshire. The accident happened at 1315 BST on Saturday on the B774 Caplethill Road in Barrhead. The passenger in a Subaru Impreza died at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. The car's driver and another passenger were also taken to hospital. Two women, aged 40 and 72, and two girls, aged six and two, who were in the other car, were also treated. Strathclyde Police said the Subaru Impreza was travelling eastbound when it appeared to lose contol. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgo...est/6581887.stm
  7. The Mrs. (Dawn) was taking my Gran to Homebase in Livingston today when a young-ish bloke in an S-plate white Astra ran into the passenger side of her car at a roundabout. Drove out to bring her back to the house (car is undriveable) and the young guy admitted he was to blame - he was in the left-lane of the two lanes coming onto the rounabout, the car in the right-lane actually drew out in front of dawn but stopped in time and he must have thought that way was clear becuase of the other car moving away when obviously it wasnt. Rear door, sill and rear quarter are smacked in, and the back wheel is awfy squint - the inside of the tyre has hit the inisde of the wheel arch. Rear tyre also has a hole in it. If it's repaired, and we hope it is, this will be the 2nd near-side rear quarter the car has had (some of you may remember the incident the day after our wedding 2 years ago where a out-his-face pedestrian literally ran into the side of her car). Some pics:
  8. Probably best to steer clear of the FRB just now anyway, it's bound to honking of sh*te round that way. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinbu...ast/6580253.stm

  11. Iain - i've got them on my car now too. Got them from this bloke - http://www.rb5.paulhooker.co.uk/rb5oc/movi...p/sidcshop.html - they arrived within 3 days and only cost £6 or something.
  12. Welcome to the forum Angel [Y]
  13. Aye that would be one of the first purchases if the numbers come up this Saturday. For now i'll make do with the crappy wee 1/18th scale model i've got of it
  14. [] Clean underwear please! Some awesome machinery there, especially the Gallardo. (the white one in the bottom pic is a lot nicer than the blue one)
  15. ...got sent the same True Grip (vol. 9 issue 1 - the one with the rolling road day @ Dastek) that I received a couple of weeks ago. So if any wants a copy drop me a PM with your address & i'll post it over. [Y]
  16. Totally off topic, apologies, but how did you get on getting your paintwork fixed Kez?
  17. I also owned an A-reg 1.0 Austin Mini in lovely sh*t brown colour, which I worte-off, followed by a vermillion orange 1.0 litre Metro, which I also wrote off. Next came this little 1.0 Fiat Panda - great wee car with the coffee-table windscreen and the deckchair seats! Next up was my Citroen AX which had the AX GT alloys on it That was follows by a brand-new L-reg Fiat Cinquecento which was lowered & had blacked-out windows. Took a bit of getting used to! That was eventually traded in for my Cavalier 1.7 TD - this was lowered on eiback springs and had 16" Dial alloys on it. This was the first car to get my OOB private reg. on it. That was eventually traded in for my Audi 1.8 - again, lowered with tints + 18" alloys on. When I eventually kerbed one of the 18" Audi alloys it got traded in for my apple-green 2.0 'Rapier' HDI Pug 307. Some nice chrome Alba Bank alloys were sourced from America, and this was lowered too. The 307 was traded in for the current scoob All pics are clickable on my website - http://www.oob315.freeserve.co.uk/old.htm
  18. Excellent pics Col [Y] Looks a sore one with the Corsa & 205. That M3 is stunning.
