I've met John @ JKP - he was going to do my red blobeye but I ended up selling the bugger. Seems like a throughly decent chap who certainly appeared to know his stuff (and made a braw job of Brian's hatch). How about a ****ey auld leaky Ford Gus, would I be treated like a lepper if I was to turn up? All the folk i'd never met before would be able to recognise me due to the wellies i'd be wearing. Only way to keep my feet dry when using that heap of junk parked in my driveway at the moment.

I have been with freeserve/wanadoo/orange back since dial-up, paying £17.99 per month. I just swapped (or I am in the process of swapping) to Sky - free for 6 months then £10 thereafter, for their unlimited service. I think that deal ended last week though. Just waiting for the swap over on Thursday. Hopefully it'll all go swimmingly. The reasons I changed were: a) I was fed up paying £17.99 a month and I have experienced a few outages with Orange over the past few months, all in the evening, all for more than an hour.

Before our daughter was born my Mrs and I went to quite a few places round the med, including Menorca. The Menorca holiday was BY FAR the best one out of the lot & we are hoping to go back there again this year. It was Punta Prima we went to though. We did do one of those bus tours of the island but it was 5 years ago now and I can't really remember Cala N Forcat (I think thats how you spell it!) specifically but the whole island looked beautiful.

Anyone ever read the story about the bloke in America who used a sock as a oil filler cap on his BMW (think it was an M3) and it got sucked down into the engine. That was a funny thread!

Folks, The Limmy show starts tonight (Monday 11th January) on BBC2 Scotland - also on Sky channel 990. For those not familiar with his work - http://www.limmy.com/blog/ Limmy was the maker of the Snowball flash game that most of you will have had a wee shot of (there's a thread about the game on here every year) which was made when he worked for Chunk - he then started an interesting & often amusing blog when he travelled round the world for a year with his Mrs. He had a half-hour pilot on BBC last year and he has also appeared at the Edinburgh festival in 2009 & 2008. He's from Carnwadrick (sp?) in Glasgow. Might be jobbies, might be good - worth a wee view anyway I reckon.

Best car: My 2003 Red Subaru Impreza WRX. Miss it Worst car: Vermillion Orange W-reg 1.0 Metro (CSC 778W). Rear subframe rusted through, blootered it into 3 fence posts (backwards) too, wrecked the MG Turbo alloys that I had on it at the time. Although it was fun jamming it into 1st gear at 40mph and hearing the engine & box scream. I think I owned this car back in 1989/1990.
