Hi Lewisscoob Thats the way it felt M8. All i was trying to find out is why has it gone by the way side compaired to previous year? Dougie
-
Lewisscoob Seeing as I have been doing scoob track days since 2001 I think I am entiteld to my own opinion . And seeing as I don't have a scoob an still attend I think I show my love affair with the scoob, maybe there was a better group of folk about then

Hi Lads Long time since i have been on posting seeing as i sold the scoob 4 years ago now. Yesterday was the first time we had been up to knockhill to spectate in a track day for over a year now due to family and other things on going, i must admit that it was a very poor show from the subaru comunity for cars on track, like others have said i was used to going to thease days and the majourity of cars were scoobs, 4 on track and another half dozen or so in the car park, ieven commented to the missus that we hadnt seen a scoob in the full run up from ayrshire which is astonishing. On the up side the day was dry and blue sky's which always make knockhill a better day out and our 2 kids loved the day. i was also trying to get down to say hi to John stewart but nopt aloud to the pit lane due to the age of the kids which is a big turn around for the good old days. That blue Skyline track car didn't half back fire going up the pit straight from the hairpin didn't it lads? Good to be back up there but have a funny feeling that it could have been our last one. Hi Davie Always had the goodyear eagles, last ones i had were the GSD3s but had to remove and replace as all had split across the width of the tyre, very scary with the speed and pressure they take. Why dont you try the Goodyear Assymetricals? i have them on the Bmw now and really like them, no probs in the snow either over the crimbo period, From mine they are £200 a corner though. OOh and while i am talking about that cheers for waving back ya ignorant git, you was coming past the Louon academy just about to hit the A71 at Galston, it was during the holidays, didnt think you would reconise the BMW and me driving it. Cheers Dougie

Heay there was a P1 on track which made my day, still the best looing scoob in my eyes. Dougie

Hi All Went up today with Diana and Rhys, probably the best day we have had as a family there due to weather and walking round the centre section, but dissapionted in the lack of Scoobs up at knockhill , deffo more a Evo day. Cheers Dougie

Hi m8 Dont listen to the twaddle that the P1's engine goes at 50k, full of pish, yeah some cars engines have let go and you will probably find that its down to modding and not getting the right parts or the way the car is looked after and used. But there is a stigma about P1s and there engines, its only due to the fact that the P1 is a specific car, i bet if you looked into it you would find a lot of my2000 classics with the same issues. But heay mine has now done 56k on original engine and still going strong. The one on here is nice and its had the 2.5 litre convertion so big bonus. Cheeers Dougie

HI M8 Just wondering if the P1 you were talking about was the one on track our the other one. We were ther yesterday in our's and not on track, pity as ours is up for sale at the moment aswell, any question then fire away. Hopfully here is a link to the said car for sale. http://p1woc.co.uk/postnuke/index.php?name...pic&t=20946 As for the running side of things its always going to be the fuel thats the killer, service is once a year at those mile's Parts well that depends on what bit's you need but you will always find some one selling new bits they bought and never fitted which makes things cheaper. Yes it is better to have one mapped but not nessecery as there are plenty on oridginal engune's and high mile's, it's more down to how it's driven Cheers Dougie

Hi Guys Putting the car in to get painted in a couple of weeks, and going to take the opertunity to properly clean the wheels i have on the car, and sort if needed. But this is my dilema, i need a old set of alloy's with legal tyre's on them for the loan of for a week top's, Wheels need to be 17" to clear the Alcon's and they are for a P1 so need to be 100mm PCD. Cheers Dougie
-
HI Peps Looking to swap my Pff7 Bright flitter alloys for a set of 18" Wrc P1 alloys in gold. I have just replaced 1 wheel due to a bad kerb incident, there are a couple of marks on the other wheels, there are a brand new set of Falken tyre's on the car that have only done 300miles. Pics can be supplied Cheers Dougie

Hi Scott ( Spooks) Good picture of Rhys M8 ta Did you catch up with Taz after i left again? And yes David i will get the pics over to you. Cheers Dougie
-
Hi Acid The car you are talking about is David Reids ie, drmotorsport Dougie
-
Hi John Yeah thats the kit i am talking about, buti paid £700 for a kit that had done 3000 miles tops and they were like brand new no lipping ect. Keep your eyes peeled on here scooby net ect as they come up every now and again Dougie
-
HI M8 Can you not get the Alcon kit for your car? I was in the same position, wanted the Ap's but just couldn't justify the big bucks for them, so i managed to source a very good second hand set for a fraction of there original cost, and to be truthfull i aint complaining about what i got for my money, not as good as Ap's but deffo not that far of, yeah and i know people will come on saying it cost X amount to replace the disk's when Fecked, but all i will do is go for the goodney bell and disk set up next time, cheap at half the price. They came of a 04 STI and fitted to a P1 Cheers Dougie
