  1. Great find !! Some nice skills there, like said already if that was an advert it would have them queued up outside the dealers
  2. Kudos to the home owner, how he takes it all in his stride, imagine if that was over here , they would be on the phone to claims direct before the wheels had stopped spinning.. Heres a couple of vids i found surfing This is one of the ugliest rolls i've seen in a while. http://www.livevideo.com/video/FDF24998D58...ff-a-cliff.aspx Probably seen this before ,but if ye like scoobs goin roond corners sideways, http://www.livevideo.com/video/Racing/C609...testing-ii.aspx
  3. Cheers Grant , Thats great news, really appreciate that mate,Me and big Neil are happy bunnies will be great to have this as a token of one of the most memorable times of 9 yrs Scooby ownership and my life. p.s we were in the long part of the L, 2 rows in from the right and 6 down , behind an original white P1 .(pretty rare). Sorry for ranting just excited, let us know how we need to pay and a big thanks once again.
  4. :waving-santa: Totally gutted , i missed this, in the same boat as you Neil, been away for 3 days , just logged on and find there sold oot. Surely if there is demand for them, then they could have done more, after all it would be more money for the jerviswood trust .555 prints is not a lot when you consider how many cars took part.
  5. Nice link there Stephen, that is one awesome car which the video captures very well. Nice to see somone with excellent car control trying so hard in such a high spec car.
  6. Sorry to hear about the stage being cancelled ,totally sucks ,ah bet a few people would like to have got their hands on the nob jockey who phoned for all that lot to come out !! Anyway, we decided to try and make an earlier stage so went to Drummond Hill, first time out trying to capture moving objects with new camera ,so be gentle http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3177/289299...0ec47673f_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3028/289215...5fc100d0e_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3210/289217...df51521e3_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3053/289220...7f08238fb_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3069/289304...41968de93_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3119/289217...57aa350c6_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3246/289220...ba8d16cfe_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3226/289304...126e4e17e_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/289221...3dbaff921_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3209/289216...060364e04_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3002/289300...c49bd8631_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3097/289301...51dcc147b_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3180/289216...55561ab6d_b.jpg
  7. Like said before ,well done and thanks for the best weekend i have had in my 9 years of Scooby ownership. Grant,Imy and Andy, you should be very proud of everything achieved and how well organised this event was. Also a big thank you must go to Prodrive.Leaving Lanark market was so emotional, i was bursting with pride but also had a lump in my throat as it brought back memories of the memorial day and i am sure Colin was looking down from above all weekend with a grin on his face at the sight of all those scoobies!! Thanks again.
  8. I know the owner of that car ,his name is John and stays in Macmerry, he owns The Golf Inn in Gullane(nice place for lunch by the way) so you will see it regular in these parts, its a nice car.
  9. Nice wee video Davie ,must have been brillaint to see a top driver and car close up and personal like that. Something about the noise of a wrc car that just gets the adrenalin pumping. Ps. Check the thread with old photos of you up at the Rally challenge.
  10. Found an Sd card the other day , and these were on it ,from the Rally challenge at Knockers 2004. This must be some kind of record , 4 years tae get photos up, excuse the quality as they were taken on a wee casio compact. Davie in action and a few others
  11. Well done on saving a lovely car, although i wouldn't have liked making the call to the Hire company.
  12. On road tyres the profile is given as a percentage ,where as on competition tyres the 625 is in mm and represents the overall diameter of the tyre, pretty sure it equates to a 45 % profile road tyre.
  13. A lot of the rally boys use millers oils and they tend to be a bit less expensive than Motul . I have personally used Millers cfs 10/60 for the last 9 years in my scoobs, a lot of the Mobil stuff is too thin for the boxer engine.

  15. I've got to recommend Nigel Mansell's autobiography as it's a brilliant read and even if you aren't a fan you have got to appreciate a guy who won an F1 championship in "92 and went on to win a CART championship the next in his debut year. I always remember him after winning the British gp at Silverstone in "91 and then stopping on his victory lap to give Ayrton Senna a lift after he ran dry. An amazing driver with some great stories to tell.
  16. Like a lot of guys on here , i can't watch any Colins vids without a tear in my eye. There will be a wee piece of us always in mourning for Colin ,but we know it will heal and get a bit easier with time, but we will never forget him. I've had impreza's for the last 9 years ,my dream car,all because of a certain local lad winning a world championship.Forget the champion, the multi millionaire, the tv cameras,if you were lucky enough to meet him ,he was an approachable down to earth local guy who like all of us had a passion for anything with wheels and im sure on his memorial day he was looking down with that wee smirk on his face at all of us in our Scoobys. thanks Cal the original poster for the link to that amazing in car footage The man was a master of his craft.
  17. Just be careful its not the turbo Heatshield needing nipped up, as if this drops down it could jam between the steering column and the downpipe, (not much clearance here). The rest of the heat shields shouldnt pose a real safety problem if they become detached.(just an annoying rattle)
  18. Like said before , the money has got to be on the Maf sensor , when i had my 99 classic this sensor had to be changed twice ,although my CEL did come on,your symptoms sound identical. They are very prone to failure on these models especially if using anything apart from the panel filter.Iirc the dealers charge about £90 for the sensor ,although some try to sell you the housing aswell for 3 times the price.
  19. Nice to hear all the good Meercat experiences,Ma Scoob is booked for a fortnights time , and am like a kid waiting on santa coming ,hee, hee Forgot to ask about the heat wrap,i guess they can supply this ?
  20. Ha,ha , i had one of those too mate, god that takes me back. I thought i was Evel Kinevel on my Raleigh Grifter, the man himself would have been proud of the jumps i used to do on that bike, and i've got the scars to prove it RIP Evel, a childhood hero.
  21. This is two companys that do wide body kits for new age scoobs, although not sure if they do anything as new as a Hawkeye.HT do a lot of there own stuff so maybe could help. http://www.a-b-w.co.uk/abwkits.html http://www.htautos.co.uk/ Like said by Andy most of these kits will be bolt on front wings and bond on side panels where the arches will have to be cut away a bit. So you are talking some serious body work . Prodrive would sell you some real deal, nice carbon fibre panels ,(if you want to re mortgage your house)
  22. This happened to a guy a while ago up in Inverness with PPP fitted , heres a link to the thread which makes interesting reading. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general...al-exhaust.html
  23. These are two hotels ,both around 10 mins from Port Seton, one in Musselburgh and one in Aberlady. They both have parking ,the Kings Manor in Musselburgh is less discrete parking, but the Kilspindie in Aberlady has parking in a courtyard at the rear which keeps the car away from prying eyes.(you can see the sign on the photo pointing to an archway that leads round the back) Kings Manor. http://www.kingsmanor.com/ Kilspindie House. http://www.kilspindie.co.uk/139/Home.html
  24. Those pics have just put me off my dinner.. What fooking makes people want to do this crazy sh*t??
