  1. My car with PPP, Prodrive Springs, STI 18's, quickshift etc cost a LOT less than that - I don't doubt it's a superb car BUT there is just no way to justify the £22,500 price hike over standard, even if exclusive. Mine is plenty quick and looks visually very similar without the colour, and a few exterior/interior shiny bits! A Euro import with Recaro's etc and then £5k work is a brilliant buy. Brian
  2. Hybrid Impreza, if done well would be good. Lexus GS460 Hybrid is incredibly good on the power for a big car. Seamless and smooth.
  3. Good to hear it's getting sorted. Nobles will do a good job. Interesting badge on the boot in the last picture... Brian
  4. Welcome along Brian.
  5. Looking good and nice to see some hatches in there
  6. I've found Pagids to be good in the past or Ferrodo DS2500's. Brian
  7. I use mine daily for everything - it will rack up at least 15k a year...so that's quite a lot in fuel - on the plus side the reliability offsets the fuel costs. Not massively worse than many other cars really if driven normally... Brian
  8. The hatch only has one reverse. I swapped out one of my reverse lights on my classic to fit an LED fog in there...no MOT problems.
  9. Keep the entries coming...
  10. Had one new screen and a screen repair on my last car - based on the number of thumps the STI is getting, it'll be needing repaired/new screen at some stage too! Recommend Autoglass in Stirling - excellent job on my last car, even with the rain sensors, soundproofed screen and autodimming mirror gubbins. No problems with it. Brian
  11. Depends what level you need your car done to - there's a "fine" line between detailing and valeting in terms of time and cost. Brian
  12. Well done on the mag - we'll never know how much work went into it... Brian
  13. My car has done 3500 in less than 3 months and that includes a couple of weeks in getting work done & bits fitted. No worries - it's a Japanese car and will do hundreds of thousands of miles if looked after and treated well. Brian.
  14. Hope it's good That's heading for Skyline territory...
  15. Just spoke to Shell Whitburn and they said, via the manager: "Basically what is happening is Shell have added a new additive to the fuel that improves performance, economy and cleaning power. They have had to wait until all the tanks in Scotland were empty and then test them - we had our tanks tested at the end of the week - to make sure they can take the new mixture. We don't know when deliveries will resume but, basically, once all the stations in Scotland are empty and tested it should restart". So that's what is happening! Brian.
  16. Check out www.detailingworld.co.uk for tonnes of info on foam etc. Group buys etc and you can buy the snow foam from many retailers who advertise and discount there. B.
  17. Good to know - cheers Davie
  18. Good choice. To be fair the new Impreza also lacks the build quality in the interiors and paintwork dept. too. Brian.
  19. I'm thinking if some tanks need relined and others need emptied flushed etc it's not likely to be back within a few days for many garages? My local in Whitburn has been down half it's tanks for about 6 months as water got into the fuel and the tanks cracked apparently - ongoing dispute between delivery company and station I believe. Brian
  20. Just re-reading this post Imy - oh dear - how true!

Brian...
  22. So it could be a while then?
  23. I think they should bring the saloon to the UK if it's available, especially in STI guise then people would have a choice and may keep sales strong. In saying that, I don't mind jumping ship to other brands if they don't have what I need. You are totally right to keep what you have - the cost to change etc is not worth what you get. Brian
