  5. For a change it wasnt me that was in the firing line although where he was standing is my favourite spot......but not any more! Initially they thought his leg was broken but I think he's fine just a bit sore, his camera looked a bit worse for wear though! Iains pics from another angle - Colin.
  6. That looks awesome would have it in a second.
  7. Looking forward to this weekend, GT3 races on Saturday and Sunday then the F1 stocks in the evening. I stood on the concrete wall a couple of years ago watching them but moved pretty quickly after a few slammed into it almost knocking me off my feet! Great to watch as they are huge and knock lumps out eof ach other, not to mention the noise. Col.
  8. I'm not setting a date for this yet as I am having issues with the car just now!
  9. One from the Perth Airshow today, first time I've ever taken a pic of a plane. I only had the 300mm prime lens which was a bit too much as they were quite close.
  10. Amazing skills.........pity about the bland blob he's driving that sounds like a bee in a tin can!
  11. Thanks for the help. Whats the story with fitting the exhaust a while before the re-map date? will the car run ok? I assume it will probably overboost and run lean or rich???
  12. I've signed up for the AndyF re-map group buy thing so I now need to get the other bits in order before getting a date. I will prob get Meercat to do me a 3" downpipe and centre section but need some recommendations on back boxes. I dont want some loud booming thing and definately nothing like a drainpipe, i.e. afterburner's or anything like that. 3" tailpipe is enough for me. Not sure its possible with the 2.5 STI engine but something with a real scooby dugga dugga soundtrack like a proper rally car. I remember hearing some old classic group N cars with tiny tailpipes sounding awesome. Video clips would be handy of what you have! Cheers, Col.
  13. Welcome back mate, i returned to the fold last November after a year out...cant keep away eh?!

  15. I've been working on top of the crane on my rig all day, right up as far as you can go where the supports for the boom are. We've got a jack-up beside us just now drilling through our deck into a well and even though we are bolted to the sea bed there was a few bigs shakes! Was a nice afternoon I could see for miles its just a pity theres bugger all to look at! Climbing up and down the ladders for all the in-betweenies was a killer though
  16. Not sure exactly but it was running 700bhp on its lowest boost setting on Saturday, think its over 900bhp on full boost! Thing is he didnt even look like he was trying, car was very stable unlike the gobstoper which looks a bit of handful.
  17. Yeah it was pretty uneventful wasnt it! The magnet's strength is weakened in high ambient temperatures!
  18. I was struggling yesterday to get good shots, drift ones are pretty awful. I'm used to taking pics in the grey and rain! Myabe it was sunstroke! Well done to young Rory Butcher who was quickest overall in a car he had only driven for the first time on Saturday- Classic convoy- Colin.
  19. Was a good day although my head doesnt think so! Burnt to a crisp! Good to see everybody again today. Colin.
  20. No idea but have you been drinking Iain?!
  21. Yeah she did well as the conditions were pretty awful for most of the day, The 'Taxi' Evo didnt fare aswell! Col.
