  1. Seriously??! I like the black DC tops but those trianers are minging!
  2. Wow! you've bought an Impreza Icon! I remember seeing this in Max Power mag back in the day and loving it, I have had a hunt through some old mags I have kept but unfortunately must have flung that one out Cant wait to see it in the flesh.
  3. Been recommended ProGrip in Bonnybridge, tried calling them yesterday but they must be shut on a Saturday.
  4. Went for a good run today and cant believe how good these are, not crashy at all and handle big bumps better than the standard shocks. There are 30 clicks from soft to hard and its set to about 10, very comfortable but also hard enough for serious cornering. I will be getting the geometry set up this week so it should be even better. Unfortunately I have probably set a record for quickest splitter loss in history! A dead rabbit which I couldnt avoid took the whole thing off in 3 bits near Aberfeldy Heres a quick pic before the splitter went awol! Mark, I am hoping to get on track at some point this year, its still standard mechanically so far though! Peter, You can keep Crail! I luckily got the 1/4 mile out my system a few years back. Spent a fortune in clutches and gearboxes! Col.
  5. Awesome! With Colin at the wheel- http://www.power-images.co.uk/gallerys/200...-07%20(36).html
  6. I have only had the car on the road for 6 weeks and the modding bug has bitten! So far- Front splitter, Mesh grille, private plate, 18" wheels now got these through the post this morning- BC Racing coilovers from the group buy on Scoobynet. Only ordered on wednesday too so thumbs up for Apex Performance. I had the Basic Tein coilovers on an old scoob and didnt rate them at all but fancied a set of super street's because of the EDFC thingy but Tein have priced themselves right out the market in my opinion. These were under £600 delivered and look like a good piece of kit. The standard struts feel like they are knackered again after she's been sitting for the past month while I was away, when will Subaru do something about it??!
  7. Nice rims, grey is the new gold
  8. Getting it fixed this friday eventually, found a local guy in Perth.
  9. What a nightmare, even worse having to watch it die like that.
  10. After lying about my house for weeks I threw them on today. 18" Compomotive MO's with Goodyear F1's, I think they look damn good Next step will be lowering it but dont see the point in putting new springs on the chocolate STI struts so will be looking for a set of super streets or similar shortly. Col.
  11. I touch sheep would have been more appropriate for quite a few of the member's on here:)
  12. Welcome back! Wat did you drive before ? I'm from your area and have been in the Subaru scene for a long time! I'm also offshore...sort of, where are you?
  13. Thumbs up for HT Auto's one here too, cheap and easy to fit although time will tell if it can withstand my driving
  14. Its back- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LWv0LbGIDi8
  15. Would you believe people in Dunfermline were complaining that they can hear the circuit on occasions! I kid you not!
  16. Cheers Kev.....
  17. Yeah I thought of that but then I will have to search about for the buckle if I have had the seatbelt on prior to this, I'l only be using harnesses when having a spirited drive.
  18. I got my old wagon tested by the Highland ****stabulary a few years ago and for reference it read 95db. Full magnex system, no cats. Had an RS turbo back in the day that was 104db!
  19. Can somebody tell me where the seat belt buzzer is located? I always wear my seltbelt on the road but on occasion I take it off when parking or on private ground (also fitting harnesses) and the buzzer is driving me insane....i know when I'm not wearing it I dont need a bloody annoying ding ding to tell me!! At a guess its under the dash around about the steering column? I dont fancy driving along at 20mph while trying to dismantle the dash to find it! Cheers.
  20. Best - Outdragged a Ferrari 355 out the hairpin and up the straight at Knockhill in my pretty much standard at the time old Wagon, it was pouring with rain though and he was sliding about all over the place! Worst - Being passed and not being able to keep up with a wreck of a renault clio with 3 neds onboard on a twisty road near Kirkcaldy in my at the time 300BHP wagon, I didnt know the road unlike him and he was driving like he was late for his funeral!
  21. I nearly bought those exact same rims, would have made us almost twins! Bought these instead, Compomotive MO's 8x18" they've been sitting in my kitchen for 3 weeks as the nuts havent appeared yet! Only got the Goodyear F1's on the other day though.
  22. SMRC? You kept that quiet! So the human cannonball will be chasing Lambo's and Focus's around Knocker's eh?! Paul that bought my old Type R has bought a Mini Cooper to race at KH, its his first ever season so should be an interesting year.
  23. I got my rear struts replaced under warranty no problem a month ago.
  24. have you people been living on the moon!!???
