  2. Not still got the OE Downpipe. If so, it'll pass with that on its own? Russell
  3. Who says he isn't....................it's not like I am lacking a spare room or 3! Even got space on the drive for all the cars to be mapped! I might take the last space on his remap list................................ if my cams and shimless buckets are ready in time! Russell
  4. The RA never came with one so I can't help M8. Try Rossco - I think he has one! Russell
  5. We've imported a few now over the past few years (3 to be honest!) and the guy we use in Japan is 100% as far as I am concerned! Othe roption is bring one in yourself www.bonsaicars.com Russell
  6. OO-ER! PMSL Russell
  7. Excllent nws Dale - shame we were never home at the same time to sort out the AP's you wanted but you've got yourslf a very good kit there and fitted by a top quality mechanic too! Nice one! Russell
  8. Why do you want coilovers? Some Whiteline gear and a geometry reset will work wonders on the car and it'll runn better on the road than coilovers. Coilovers are for the hardcore and track-day users.....not really that good for day-to-day driving, etc. Russell
  9. Maybe that's because I have bought them from him............................yours for 650? Russell
  10. Wish I could help M8 but I'm a liitle out of your way right now. AndyF would be your best bet to convert it and ask drb5 if he'll fit it for you? Russell
  11. I try to do that but people moan about wanting it done the day before so they can drive it........ TBH I have spent all of my last nights onshore for the past year under a bonnet of someone's else's car until about 4.30 am making sure the car is right, then it's shower, dressed, off to airport to fly out to India. Some people don't realise dhe effort involved sometimes. Time for a change methinks Russell
  12. No the easiet job with it on the car m8 - its better if the box is off and then get it stripped apart - figure on £200-210 for stripdown, fit new retaining nut and rebuild with new gaskets. TBH - I though you have more issues than what you are having if this was your problem but.................you never know. Scoob ownership - you gotta love it! Russell
  13. Correctamundo! Russell
  14. So long as you don't use 75W/90 BM then it's the oil for you! Might be that the Polyurethane insert in the linkage is missing or damaged. Might explain the "arc" that the gearlever is moving in? Russell
  15. I might be able to pop down (it is a long way though) but PM me your number and I'll try to call you in the morning! Russell
  16. Classic or Newage? 15-20 minute job to remove them if its a Classic, a little longer for a Newage. Russell
  17. Assuming Alan and I are on the same page, I think that he is referring to the fact that whoever changed the clutch MAY have filled the gearbox with the wrong type of Oil. For example, Millers CRX 75W/90 is fine but CRX 75W/90 BM (ie the Black Moly bit) is not good to synchromeshes ie, the problem you are having going into gear can easily be related to that? Russell ps- if Alan was thinking different ly then I AM SORRY!
  18. Get onto the site below and add your condolences. Rusell http://www.colinmcrae.com/condolences.asp
  19. Sorry I couldn't be there as I am stuck out in the US right now but we went to a local meet last night and these guys were gutted to say the least. Fantastic support from across here for a man that they all admired and aspired to be like. Colin - you'll be sorely missed Russell
  20. Wrap the uppipe off the car as there is little room round it whilst it is on the car. P&P the turbo and the bottom of uppipe where it meets the Headers. Russell

  22. Not really - they are the similar weight and size (one is steel and one is alloy apparently, that's the rumour anyway!) but the heatsink is supposed to be a little larger inside ie, better colling effect due to a bigger surface area. Russell
  23. oul'll find several on sale on eBay. Mak esure you don't get a UK one sprayed silver though! Russell
  24. So can we safely agree wth me that MY97-98 cars (central Coil Pack and ISCV on Passenger side of Inlet Manifold) will not accept an STi5 TMIC easily ? Don't believe me, no problems M8. All the best in trying to fit it and if you struggling, I'm sure Squirrel will be finished his game soon as be back online to help! Russell ps - using an FMIC on an AFP TD04/16G will not be that laggy and IMHO, Autobahn do one for around 198 delivered so get it!!
