  1. I've had mine since April-ish, and it cost me £200-210 with Ridge Racers from Yes Asia. They're cheaper now though. I got mine from Yes Asia because they offer a free shipping service (which you really pay for in the cost of the goods), but it is gauranteed to be free of Import Tax etc. So you pay a wee bit more, but you really save on the customs fees. If I was buying one now then I'd probably just buy the standard pack and not the value pack, and buy some accessories to go with it that were better than the value pack ones (you need a case to protect it). I've upgraded the memory stick to a 512mb one, so I can actually fit films on it. I watched the Incredibles on a flight to Copenhagen. It was great. The screen is easily the best thing about it. So crisp and clear. Nothing can quite prepare you for just how good it looks.
  2. Chris, how bout these fellows - here. You could always get some white ones, they might look nice - here.
  3. squirrel, you're almost right there, but you have it the wrong way round. UK and US games (I have some US games) will work on a Jap machine, and vice versa, but films will be region coded so as to only play in the region of the machine's origin.
  4. I have to say that Gold wheels just don't do it for me. It's taken me a while to appreciate my bronze-ish ones, but I'd still rather have Anthricate PFF7s or some nice Volk Gunmetal LE37s.
  5. Everything was from Scott Lowe. He does a carbon splitter for STIs, as well as the regular matt black fibre glass one which is similar to the one I got for the WRX, but to fit the STI bumper.
  6. I mock yee and your crazy internet-enabled devices. Get a JAP PSP from lik-sang or yesasia and don't wait until september.
  7. I should explain that, with the aid of a real keyboard. I have a playstation portable, and the new software update for it gives you a web browser, so I thought I'd test it on here, and it works very nicely.
  8. i am viewing the forum on my psp. And posting too
  9. It is indeed my good man. One of these. I got 10% off as it was part of a GB (for the carbon wings). It doesn't photograph that well it must be said. But really looks the business. Sharpens up the front end of the car a treat. A bit of an illegitimate male child to fit due to most of the bolts going into places that you couldn't really see, so it was very fiddly. Got there in the end though. Paid for it this morning mind you. My dodgy knees were aching, and I've got bruises and scrapes in places I didn't know existed.
  10. Splitter fitted last night, survived the journey to and from work (and a 50 minute wait at the Kincardine Bridge), and then the spoiler fitted this evening. Pictures aren't my best work, but the light was fading. Wing, both and splitter. Really chuffed with them. Scott Lowe does some fantastic bits.
  11. I love the forester. The tricked out versions are such great sleeper cars. You'd rip the crap out of a lot of things in one of those crazy STI ones. Although it doesn't look that sleepy. Will we welcome Tribeca owners when it comes out here?
  12. Looks good oobster. I must admit I was sceptical at first, but that's come up really nice. What was the total cost all in? Just put my front splitter on (more difficult than I imagined, working blind with fiddly nuts and bolts), but it was too dull to take pictures. New wing goes on tomorrow when I've got a long reach 10mm socket to get the old one off.
  13. I've got no complaints with my Scott Lowe ones. Seeing an Impreza without a set on just doesn't look right to me. Just received my Wing and Splitter from Scott too. Top bloke.
  14. Done. Not that I'm counting the days already or anything.
  15. Thanks mate. Word on the street suggests my new Wing and Splitter has arrived back at the Ranch. Updated pictures tonight hopefully!
  16. Sure Costco Glasgow had it last time I was there, which would have been a fortnight ago. Also worth picking up, for all your car cleaning needs - a FORTY pack of terry towels for about a tenner. Consider a Meguiars or Swissol branded one is about £5 a shot or £10 for 2, and that the quality is exactley the same, then it's well worth buying. Oh, and Silicon Blades for £3. The same one scoobyworld sold to me for £10 or so
  17. I absolutely love the little Ignis. My mate and I saw one in Glasgow (near the UGC) a few weeks back. It just looks so damn good up close. A proper mini-rally car. Ideal for the ladies! Good luck with the sale mate.
  18. RB5 is my favourite classic. A fabulous choice mate.
  19. Looking good mate. Especially that bubble wrap in the engine bay.
  20. I've just had an email from a mate who also bought a WRX from motorpoint (after seeing mine, convinced him not to get a Diesel Golf). He's attacked some bird crap with some water then some DETTOL (WTF?) and he's left some marks. He says you can only see it when its pointed out, but I'm imagining the worst. I've recommended that he give the car a good present and give it a proper wash with proper equipment and products. I think he's in the once monthly fairy liquid brigade, so I don't imagine it's in the best condition. So I'm going to meet him at Halfords and make him buy the entire stock of Meguiars products. Then force him, at gun point if need be, to wash his car at the worst once a fortnight. That £360 quote is ridiculous. I'm almost certain that Arnold Clark did my Vectra's bonnet (stone impact led to rust) for about the £200 mark. And they were a ridiculously over priced dealer.
  21. Is the UK one not a WRX 300? I believe the WRT 300 is just the European variant of the WRX 300. Same car AFAIK.
  22. The H+S Backbox in all its glory.
  23. Hillington is the other side of the motorway from the Braehead shopping centre and Ikea. As a woman there's a fair chance you'll know that area well.
  24. Think I might be tempted to head up to this one. Can they fit stuff on the day or would that be a bit cheeky to ask? A full set of Whiteline droplinks is the order of the day, and maybe a DV I've not already got one by then. Edit: Maybe some brake pads as a wee backup for when I murder the current set.
  25. You'll need to try hard to beat this parking Job. It's lovely to see a car club parking by colour. It's really going that extra mile.
