  1. Did I miss something there? Suppose you could do it from a high rise. If we got enough cars we could spell out something a bit more Scottish. Like the word "Bawbag".
  2. This one is a bit trickier than parking by colour, but it was suggested to me by someone I showed the group photo too. Arrange the cars into a logo of some sort and take an aerial photo. Anyone got a pilots licence and a plane?
  3. Sharon - www.megamodz.com Classic Steel Bonnet - £175. Alloy ones are about £100 more.
  4. a - challenging roads (sweepers, hairpins, flat out straights) - 3 b - toilet facilities - 2 c - hot food facilities - 1 Please provide a number for the following: d - preferred mileage in total - 200-300 miles e - preferred duration of day - 6 hours f - number of rest stops during a typical 4-5 hr run - 3 breaks g- preferred expenditure on fuel - £NONE or £70. I know the November run was special as it was for the photo shoot, but I think if there was a wee incentive to going on them then perhaps more people would come. I'd never been THAT fussed beforehand, but having been on this one I will now be a regular attendee next year as I really enjoyed the day. Maybe the next time we organise a wee bit of filming along the way and make a DVD of it? Chris' organising of the day as a whole was great, and Grant and Imy's organising of the run itself was just as good. Maybe the next time if we try anything as audacious as a colour coded group photo then some sort of synchronised parking course should be attended by everyone first though!
  5. I fought the law and the law BEAT ME TO DEATH. I washed my car yesterday lunch time and 60 miles later it's almost as bad as it was. The amount of cars I saw going down 15 miles of the M74 this morning that were sporting unreadable number plates could be counted on 10 hands. Do you think they'll all get £30 fines? Doubt it.
  6. << the ones way down south would be a bit of a drive for us up north lot ,we would be looking at 5 hours to get to the borders i reckon just guessing though?? >> I suppose you're right mate. But then it's 2 hours from the borders just to get to Perth really. The law of averages says that you'll be near someone's backyard during part of the run, and MANY hundreds of miles from someone elses.
  7. Warby, you've not lived until you've went face to face with a flatbed truck coming at you on a single track "A" road. A truck that's mounted the grass and completely locked up too.
  8. I'd agree about the length yesterday for a Winters day, but then we did spend quite some time at Glenshee. I know even less about the south of the country than I do about the North. Totally different roads too I suppose. Might be nice for a bit of a mix and match. But just about anywhere is fine with me. That was my first run yesterday and I loved it.
  9. Took some shots at lunch time with the phone. The car was so dirty. When I stopped in Perth for petrol on my way home the number plate was completely blanked out, which probably was a good thing after me and Col had a wee jaunt down the A9. And after a wee go with the pressure washer: Once I get my backside in gear I'll blank out the plates and upload my shots.
  10. 45 Imprezas, a non-turbo Subaru Imposter (driven by some maniacal woman) and a Corsa. Top stuff. Only 2 near death experiences, which was nice. Quality roads all round. Well worth the entrance fee. Thanks again to all who organised as it wouldn't have been possible without you.
  11. Col, that was me! I gave up at Dufftown too as I was trying to get home for 6, which failed. I must have went off a different way to you as I joined the A9 just before Aviemore. It was a nice we end to the day following you down to Perth. The flamer kit brought a smile to my face every time your car spewed flames out the back. I wasn't going to let you out onto the A9 until I noticed it was a Scoob. I've got a good few pictures which I'll try and put up later. But for now marvel at my wonderful mystic paintshop pro skills - here
  12. Will Maccy Ds be open at the showcase?
  13. I thought the last thing anyone would want is to look like a beemer driver. Especially when it comes to headlights which are often the only thing of a car you can see from a distance on a dark night.
  14. A nice set of dubs and hydraulics Jamie. You know you want it.
  15. Mine is looking a wee touch Dirty. Hoping to get a jet wash before AWD to at least make it look a wee bit better.
  16. What the hell are angel eyes?
  17. I posted on Thursday about the Roadworks Colin. THe people returning from perth to Glasgow will get caught in this tomorrow, unless alternative measures are sought.
  18. Imprezas look good when it appears they've just stepped out of a stage of Rally GB anyway.
  19. Not going to get a chance to give the car a proper clean today with one thing or another, and the jet washes I went past are all frozen. We really need a mobile one in Glenshee.
  20. That they do Chris.
  21. "Analyst Developer". Software development and analysis. Right up my street basically. I do far too much support where I currently am. I will miss being able to nip out at lunch time to bomb some country roads, but I do like working in the city centre.
  22. Unfrotunately yes. I'm going to work in the centre of Edinburgh again, with the Scottish Parliament actually. I did a student placement there back in 2001-2002 and got the chance to go back. Not told my current employers yet!
  23. Are those Apple stickers on the car Chris?
  24. I was at an interview on Monday and got an email today to tell me I'd got the Job! Well chuffed. Good pay rise too, so maybe more mods next year! No idea when I'm starting, but it's great news none the less.
  25. No need to thank me. I enjoy a good laugh as much as the next man. It really was flippin' cold this morning though.
