It certainly helps the cause Peter, but it's not the be all and end all. Usability, tractability, power delivery, power to weight ratio, handling, grip, aerodynamics. Everything matters. Of course different cars are better suited to different roads too! A fast car on a motorway doesn't always make a good car on a B road. And a good car on a B road might run out of gears/puff on a motorway.

Clyde Valley Limos have a stretched H2. Seen it a few times. It's a fair old size. My cousin hired a regular H2 in America and didn't like it. He's had a few Dodge Rams, so he knows about driving crappy Yank Trucks.

Any tool which "detects" whether a speed trap is active, be it laser, radar, or something which knows if a Gatso is turned on, WILL BE ILLEGAL NEXT YEAR. That has been confirmed by the government. Anything GPS based is not only fine, but confirmed by the government as being something they have absolutely no intention of taking action against as they know it has benefits - ie. blackspot warnings. I'm using a Classic Road Angel which is GPS based, with the laser attachment dongle. It's decent, but the New Road Angel or the Road Angel Compact are better designed units. I also use TomTom Mobile GPS navigation and I have the speed camera points of interest on that too.
