  1. 17 miles from me from Bothwell. Probably a bit closer than Hillington and better roads too!
  2. From the shortlist - S2K. That's a complete no brainer.
  3. Was it in conjunction with the wigton guys? I recognise that MK Indy from a few forrestburn events.
  4. Z4 2.5 will be like swimming in treacle. Kitcars are cheap as chips just now. Proper buyers market.
  5. Stranger things have happened John. Peter might finish his car ..................
  6. Got the car back this afternoon. Feels like a new car, and it should after what was done! It does look like it's on stilts though. Once I get these brakes bedded in I might even make it down for a Glasgow run!
  7. Knockhill is the home event Scott so hopefully you can get an even better result. I'm sure a lot of us will be heading up to watch. No pressure though!
  8. It's not the individual costs that were the shock, more that it all came in one go.
  9. Saw 2 at the bentley dealers in Hamilton. White one was especially nice on the eye.
  10. Perhaps John. The car was too much of a compromise. Next time it'll be 2 cars. If I had 5K lying around I'd have bought Chris K's AX and gone sprinting and hillclimbing this year.
  11. The car is getting fixed today and I'm damn sure I'm not spending another whatever on getting it all done again. But cheers John. If I could have been without the car for some time I would have fished about for replacement rears only but it's not handy being without it.
  12. Checked the Tein site and it's just a 1 year warranty on them. Never mind though. I'm just thankful the car is with a good honest garage with people who come back to you with options and prices for everything. It makes the pill a bit easier to swallow when the person on the end of the line sounds genuinely apologetic about finding something wrong on your car that they need to sort! If it had been in at the stealers I'd have probably passed out.
  13. Alex said she'd look into it john but to be honest I'm just going to keep the stock ones on. Need the car back asap. The comfier ride might be nice!
  14. It is Dale - but the pads were fairly recent. I should have done the discs last year when I did them. Turns out the service was a bigger one than I thought too so there's a few extra quid on to the bill. All in all it's been a bit of a piss poor day for me.
  15. The car was 4 years old in December and I got them I think in the November of the following year - so 3 and a half Years or so. For some fairly aggressive lowering springs on our salted crap roads it's probably not a bad run at all. Just makes an already expensive trip to the garage a bit more expensive. But hey - on the bright side - will be more comfortable to drive now!
  16. Car is at Hypertech for a wee service and some new discs today. Turns out the old front discs have chewed the front pads so need them too. Then to make matters even worse the Tein springs on the rears have cracked. Had to speak nicely to my dad who's going to nip over to Bonnybridge with the stock springs and I'll get them put back on the car for now.
  17. Some from me: AG Motorsport car dumping some spent fuel into the ether Chris Knox (who won 2 races) getting a bit of air: The SKIDZ car .... well Skidding into the fence really: Gorgeous 911 in the classics race again getting on 2 wheels: My cousin Frank on his way to winning the second Legends race in the rain: The rest are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157617441440572/
  18. Good shots Neil. I spotted you when Nicola and I were up at the Chicane but you were down at the bottom of Duffus. Will get my shots up tomorrow. Saw the Evo going into the air fence but the shots didn't come out great.
  19. Did the Rocket make it down then?
  20. IF you look at the top of the thread there's an options button. Click it then click standard which is 2nd from the bottom.
  21. Wont fit a WRX as the PCD on the discs are different.
  22. Try not being heavy on the brakes...... But seriously - have you considered the godspeed kit for spacing out the standard 4 pots to allow bigger discs? http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/Subaru/subaru.htm
  23. Better late than never. Full set here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157616967381323/ Couple of subaru related ones:
  24. Good luck chaps. And to the rest of the sidc entries too.
  25. I thought you were looking pretty quick earlier in the day John. I'd moved down to the tunnel after being up in the meadow. Got a nice shot of you going up through there then 2 seconds later I heard the almighty bang. Hope it's not too badly damaged You weren't alone though - there was a few hitting the barrier there on Sunday afternoon. Both of the DAXs gave it a good bang and Geoff had a good spin on the way out.
