  1. I'm not aying they won't fit, but they are not original P1 mats, Prodrive logo only on drivers mat & in the wrong place Like I say not saying there is anything wrong with them at all, just not P1 mats
  2. Very good point, guess who will be paying over £400 for theirs next year because it was a "Y" plate
  3. Age old question and open to a lot of debate, don't think there's a right answer it's all personal prefference P1 UK car, insurance cheaper Longer gearing, easier to live with on motorways Map, as above not sure, story goes same map with lead brokets (sp) in fuel tank but will be fine on UK 99RON fuel if looked after Type R Jap import, insurance dearer Shorter gearing, DCCD (variable diff control) more fun at playtime on back roads Needs remap for UK fuel or octane booster Owned 2 P1's loved them both, still have the 2nd with 112k on the clock, bought P1 over Type R as needed motorway gearing, took the last 1 to Corsica twice, superb cars. Never driven a or been in a type R, hope to hitch a ride some day think it will depend on what your doing with it, would think Type R more fun at play time, but if your doing a lot of longish distance then P1, try them both, see what you think Either way they are superb drivers cars, there are plenty to choose from & it's a buyers market out there, so take your time
  4. We have always had UK cars till this 1, went for the Euro premium model from Litchfields in April, 2.5 same as UK, but with Recaro's, satnav the puka BBS 18's, push button start & keyless entry, cost us £27k at the time. Thread here, from when we bought it http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...mp;hl=our+hatch Think the 22.5k euro you will have ben offered will have the 18's & wintr pack, over the UK car, think this is heated seat, but sure someone will confirm Have had a phone call, then written confirmation from Subaru UK that the car is registered with Subaru UK for warranty purposes, so should be fine there & dealer near Debbie's work has no issues working on it, infact when she took it in the first time, they could not believe the spec etc for the price
  5. Purchased our Imperza's because of their rallying heritage, lets face it before subaru's started winning rallies, the only thing they were known for was rusty farmers pickups Something neded to be done re the Impreza, no wins in the WRC for over 3 years & the last Impreza is the only model never to win a round of the WRC The hatch won't be to everyone's taste but in my opinion it's the right shape & size for a WRC car, give it a chance and if Subaru listen to their drivers etc I'm sure t will soon be back on top of the podium As for the sound have a listen to this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8pfTCOtwGiM
  6. Depends what you want, milage to be covered etc, etc, I'd try them both Bugeye is better built & should be more reliable, Type R a lot more fun and a true drivers car, as above try before you buy, sure you'll see what I mean Me, if not covering excessive milage, Type R every time
  7. Looking good, pleased ou all had a great day
  8. Great find al, they were a touch quicker round the Ring than we wer lol
  9. Went this route with ours KT Green rear silencer & a Haywood & Scott centre pipe, keeps 4 pipes at the back, only a little larger Gives the burble without being intrusive, well pleased http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8pfTCOtwGiM http://www.ktgreen.co.uk/news/2008stiparts.html
  10. Black does look good, but it's a nightmate to keep clean & as Mike says shows every mark, have to confess we would have bought a white 1 if we had the choice, wasn't prepared to wait for the next batch & pay £1500 extra
  11. Yep did well for 5k cheaper, & deffo looked like stock UK 17's
  12. Good shout Tiff & Plato at their best...............how close was that?

  17. Good news to be honest I like the Brembo's, think they are excellent brakes for a road car
  18. No problem with ours, a lot of manufacturers are only skimming discs, to be honest it's not good, as Granby says, less metal = more likley to warp, also think new car, problem = new discs
  19. Been considering this as well with our P1, but doesn't the lining stop some of the heat getting to the bonnet & protect the paint?
  20. Used to have a towbar on our 1st wagon, had a cycle rack that clipped into a bracket on the bar
