well Gerrys post kinda put a stop to any doubt over their professionalism and results, if anyone sensible ever did have any doubts over them to begin with of course? Dastek figures seem to be consistent and hence the reason why the whole of central scotlands SIDC population have them as their chosen company to use. Im sure AVA and star are very similar and people should give credit to the potential multi thousand, million pound equipment that is being used to produce the figures for us all. There will be small variations between each place no doubt but overall im sure they are all much the same. The service you get at dastek from Gerry and Paul is second to none without a blue butchers coat in sight like another place i know. if you put an engine with that kind of BHP into a scoob the understeer as Boab says will be hurrendous. The ovedrsteer above 400 BHP starts to affect the way the car works meaning even TOYO R's dont stick to teh black stuff as the car is pulled/snowploughs straight ahead. On top of that by the looks of things the evo driver couldnt drive a six inch nail into a hovis loaf. Finally, is it just me or does anyone else find the track completely mundane???? maybe they could design it so that theres a straight now and again. I think that we have a bit of gayness progressing through the thread here. HH day, SIDC day, Ferrari day, whatever. I can see that they probably have a fair amount of skill and im sure we would drive like that if we didnt have 5, 10, 20, 30k worth of kit to write off and maybe even have more fun BUT I got the impression that the thread had been started to seek opinions on the fun/mad/sane/exciting/see it how you will day so i cant understand why people are getting defensive about their buddies at HH day?? Im not Koffi Anan as im sure we know, but calling people a55holes etc etc is a bit much, especially when theres a good chance they will knock you clean out never mind pass you on the track.
