Another Pic from TOTB. Car moving under Team Steam to the start line Guess who Supplied and Built my Engine ?
-
Cold idle usually around 6 bar (90psi) Hot idle usually around 2-4 bar (depends how hot ) Anything off idle > 6bar
-
Good Towcar, better than my current Legacy. Harsh on fuel though !!
-
I think I'd check sender and gauge first. I wouldn't worry to greatly about pressure being to high, you might have an issue, most likely instumentation put possible pump, but 100xbetter that than to low

I need a full international spec cage installed in a new shell I have, I'll drop it off sat night. Thanks OK to collect Sunday evening ? ---john---
-
Right, what you need to do here is get the engine out, remove the oil pump and get someone to x-ray it for hairline cracks. Next step is a full strip down and .... Seems fine to me, the only problem I see there is you are not working it hard enough to get oil temps up at hot idle to cause the pressure to drop to Circa 30-40 psi. ECU must have a Poofy Driver compensation table enabled !! I didn't spec that !!!!!!!!!!

You sure, the White shell between the Quatro and the MKI looks like it to me ??

Erm, second picture

For clarity, please read post #9 again Who said anything about removing pipes from the car ? No need to get stroppy For the life of my I don't see what is difficult to understand. It's not Rocket Science. But since you appear to be struggling I'll explain. The up pipe is still on the car, it's still attatched to the turbine housing, it's therefore still attatched to the car. Lets not forget the downpipe, it's still attatched to the car also !! I'm sure you will agree neither the uppipe-turbo Gasket nor The Turbo-Downpipe Gasket have been disturbed in this senario. Remove Oil Feed Pipe, and Oil Drain. Remove Water Banjos. Pop wee circlip between Acuator rod and Wastegate. Remove Cold side inlet pipe and outlet. Undo Core/Turbine housing V Band. Remove core Turbine wheel and Compressor assy comlete from car. Strip and replace seals. Reverse to re-assemble Really ? He did and it does I do like to introduce Wit where I can, it's nice to be nice
-
Erm, don't thing so !!! Remove vband clamp and remove core and Compressor complete. leaving only the turbine housing still attatched to both the up and down pipes Agreed
-
He didn't, read it again !!
-
Not sure what your point is ?
-
Wait till you experience the power on understeer out of a hairpin..............
-
Carefull, you're lining youself up for a challenge... assuming you EVER finish your Epic !!! Lets see if you can beat either of the above times
-
... must be bad mapping

Think carefully where a CRX would put you class wise, it's not a 'Saloon', it's a 'Sports Car' ---john---
-
