  1. i like my bc's but quality can be hit and miss from set to set - teins are great quality but too harsh for our roads, reckon il be putting a set of kw's on my car at some point in the next year so if you can save enough id go with that

  4. hiya mate, i know the hard knott pass well used to stay down there - the roads for the fling are pretty similar but nothing as challenging as applecross this year. Still some fantastic pretty deserted roads, amazing scenery (especially if i organise the weather again,...) and the hotel for sat night is lovely (and the bars open late...) Alun think we had 24 cars last year on the actual day, this year numbers are so far at (drum roll please......) 31 cars! wow! cough, Lewis PM me your rates.......

  6. not if they follow the right route they wont Lewis..... though you are right, north west is the best - and im not even from there! Inverness is a lovely place, well worth a poke around and some cracking hotels - look up Rocpool Matty
  7. welcome along, big difference between the teg and the scoob - out of the box in the dry teg handles sweeter but a few fairly simple changes can transform the sti, now lock away your credit cards!
  8. I dont think anyone needs a reminder of that one.... My top tip - bubble wrap for your front bumper and prebook autoglass for your return (unless your right at the front )

  16. just want to say that thats a week since i put up the thread annoucing this years fling and theres 27 cars down on it - thats incredible, you guys rock!!! seeing so many people returning and a good smattering of newbies all making such positive comments and getting so excited about it makes the little effort i put into planning it all worthwhile, so a huge huge thank you to you all for the support - i really cant wait for april! O and il email the real destination to everyone apart from Davie this week so shhh, dont tell him.....

  20. exactly - we keep taking Del out with us after all as long as you dont make us watch football we dont really mind and hatches are usually so far behind noboby minds what they look like anyway Its always good fun, usually great roads, frequently great weather and very occasionally organised properly.....

  22. and done!! details are now up on the main thread (FIRST POST!!!) of accomadation for saturday night, grab a room before they go! this does also reveal our destination as well, though not the route....
