  3. try and get a set of 306 gti brakes for it, pretty simple swap and huge increase in braking power, was planning doing something similar to a saxo a few years ago but ended up buying a 306 rallye instead
  4. lovely looking wagon! really fancy one for doggy duty but never find a good one! cracking set of stoppers too, sure youl have plenty of fun with her
  5. hiya mate, meerkat or c&c are both good bets, will make you up exactly what you want style, sound and power wise and both do quality work depends on what your after, sound or power or both. to get a noticeable power difference you need to change the whole system from the turbo back but if you do tht you should really get a remap. a back box and centre section would let it rev more freely and release the rumble, i know scoobyworlds ninja sounds good without being too noisy

  8. on the plus side seing too icons sadly wrecked does mean youve owned two icons - which is currently two more than ive managed! important thing is that no one was hurt and folks will always gossip - sure i heard that you swerving to avoid a unicorn at 220mph while racing a veyron......
  9. that looks ok Paul, keep meaning to get one of these myself but then do i really want a record of how im driving......
  10. flywheel or clutch release bearing would be my guess....
  11. done a wee bit of research on the second one and it is a straight car with a genuine reason for sale not a boy racers tart, be a good buy for someone
  12. wondered if theres anyone heading through from tayside/central who fancy a wee convoy?
  13. wow! interesting that you got that much difference with the front mount, might have to consider one after all... did it make much difference to the spool up? and what size injectors are you running? i'm at 390 ish on a 2.0l just now and said that was enough, but....
  14. cracking car mate, loving the stealth factor with all those ponies under the bonnet - and the torque must be something else!! is that an APS intercooler youve got? looking forward to seeing it in the flesh sometime
  15. after looking into this i think its safer for everyone to find their own, seems to be a big difference in price and spec so rather than any one person lay out a load of cash its every man for themselves!
  16. ooh, thats handy to know - cheers Kenny! that your car all sorted out now bar the gearbox?
  17. did they skim them in house Kenny? and how much, goat me if you want
  18. for road use i would stick with mintex 1144's great pads and not as sore on the discs unless your really working them hard, try Alyn at AS performance, great prices and really knows his stuff! upgrading the rear pads defintely worth it, rear discs you wont notice so much but theyl look great and the gb270 is 5x100 pcd so the same as all other newage wrx's, only sti's that gained 5x114
  19. whew, had me worried there cheers Paul but im safe down in argyll this week
  20. my 6 speeders always been ok although it isnt the smoothest shift warm or cold but it is very positive and mechanical feeling which i quite like a change of oil in our old integra did wonders for the smoothness of shift though
  21. ive tended to use wonder wheels or similar with a really aggressive brush to clean it up and get rid of the rust spots then autosol or similar metal polish to buff it up, raceglaze metal polish is really good and if you can be bothered take it off and have a go at it with a machine polisher
