  5. Halleys were total rip off merchants and a bunch incompetent idiots. 1. My parents bought a Vauxhall Corsa from them brand new and the back bench release was broken. This was identified about 2 weeks after the car was purchased and took straight back to Halleys. They refused to fix it under warranty and would not give back the car until my parents paid for the repair. My parents then had to claim the money back from Vauxhall. 2. My Corsa at the time went in for a 1 year service. It was returned to me with no oil cap so when I went to drive it oil obviously sprayed all over the underside of my bonnet. I had the car towed to my house. The next day when they came to collect the car they insisted on driving it to Halleys garage with no oil and no oil cap! I don't think so! I refused to let them drive it. They then reappeared with an oil cap and 5L of oil. I again refused to let them drive it and insisted on it being towed to the garage. To add insult to injury the drain plug was also not tightened as oil was sitting in a nice little puddle under the car when they loaded it onto the trailer. From this point on my parents and I refused to use them for any sort of servicing or work. I did however see a car I liked on their forecourt and thought buying from them wouldn't be a big deal........... 3. I bought a car from them (make and model will remain under wraps) as they were selling it for a decent price and offered me top money on my trade in. The car was purchased, I went offshore, it was delivered to my house and garaged for 3 months until I came back home. The day I got back I drove it to Andy F for a remap and after the mapping session we noticed the expansion bottle was full of 'gunk'. Head gasket failure obviously. The car was taken back to them the next day. I requested a sniff test and compression test to identify the head gasket failure. The car was returned to me with neither the sniff test done or the compression test carried out and I was told the car was OK (this later was not a smart move on their part as they marked this down on the invoice which their UK headquarters did not take kindly too). I took the car to 'another dealership' who identified the head gasket problem straight away. Good riddance Halleys!
  6. Thanks guys. It's been a work in progress over the passed year. Thankfully with me Woking offshore I haven't had to put up with much time off the road as work was competed while I was away. Thats thanks to Paul @ Shennan Motorsports. He has been great and has complete jobs while I have been away. Can't thank him enough. The car was mapped by Andy F and he also was great in diagnosing a wastegate problem with my turbo which was resolved a couple of weeks back.
  7. The difference was the FMIC and headers & up pipe. I also changed to an inner wing filter too as I was previously running a RCM engine bay kit. Running 800cc lateral injectors.
  8. And the torque makes it a very nice car to drive everyday!!!!!
  9. I was wanting to keep it as stealth as possible. At first I attempted the build with the STi TMIC but I couldn't get the results with it. Max out at 400bhp 410lbft. After fitting the FMIC and a set of GT headers and up pipe I got the result shown above. I choose the Rota Gravels as they are a copy of the Spec C wheels. Its a Japspeed FMIC that I got for £179. The core on them are really good despite what some people say.
  10. Thanks guys. The gravels are ET44 and they sat slightly better then they did before I set up my geometry the other week. Currently running -2 degrees front and -1.5 degrees rear. The Rota's are great wheels, nice and light but strong. I have had two sets and never had a problem with them at all.
  11. Well I have been a lurker for long enough so its time to introduce the work in progress. Hawkeye STi Engine: 2.5l MD321T ACL bearings Wiesco Pistons Eagle Rods Commetic Gaskets Lateral GT Spec headers & up pipe K&N inner wing kit Parallel fuel rails & aero pipes/fittings Roger Clark Catch Can Running 1.6bar @ 452bhp 498lb ft Transmission: Exedy Pink Box (for now, I will need to upgrade I know!) Suspension: BC Coilovers Wheels & Tyres: Rota Gravel 18x8.5 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 245/18/40 Brakes: Godspeed discs EBC Blue Stuff pads Other: Depo Gauges/Prosports on order! Carbon front lip All looked after by Paul @ Shennan Motorsports!!! Awesome service! I am in the process of tidying the engine bay!
  12. Its a very well finished car. Al genuine WRC panels too. I have seen it many times when I have been over at Greersports while they were building my car.
  13. My engine check light came on when I after I fitted my GT headers. I ran the car without the O2 sensor in it to move it into my garage, so I am hoping that is the cause. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Ayrshire area (near Mauchline or there abouts) that had an OBDII reader that I could use to check the light and hopefully clear it???
  14. You interested more in rigs/platforms or ships?
