just a wee reminder that the clubs at Kames this sunday (18th) and anyones welcome to pop along and say hello or grab a passenger ride with those out on track, all free of charge
-
John McBay is the Knockhill Mobile Chicane as far as I can see
-
diet coke for the little lady

yep, just like your car John, getting rid of all the uneccessary dead weight makes it faster and more fun and appreciate whats been hiding underneath
-
Its all true - after all Barry's car was so fast round there it looked like it never left the pits......
-
not those sort you naughty people who's heading out on track 5th October then? I might be tempted out to play if theres enough scoobs to compete with - chase me chase me!
-
its a sunday and I dont do mornings lol heading down for mid day ish - and the old biddys ears are safe, im in silent mode - just a piddling 98 db
-
Jeez Andy, what were you drinking? pints of vpower? you heading up to kames on sunday? Sooooo good to see such a positive thread and not just the usual suspects either, as Barry said the predictors of doom have always been there - in fact as far as the scottish section goes I remember scoobynet saying very publicly we'd never last as part of SIDC.......suppose it has only been the 11 years

ok so half the complaints on here are about it being too cliquey, in jokes from people who know each other and those who dont feeling left out and the other half is complaints from people about there not being enough banter and piss taking like there used to be in the good old days? sounds to me like damned if you do damned if you dont....... The heart of the whole problem is people dont have the time, money or will power to get out to meets all the time - sidc was always driven by meets and runs and the online banter and busyness came from people having met at meets and knowing each other SIDC is a drivers club for driving and getting out, not for keyboard warriors - look at the major events it attends, .net, ayrshirescoobs, aberdeen scoobs are all good forums but I dont see them attending rallyday, japfest, JAE etc or running their own trackdays regularaly - THATS where we are different and if you dont like that well you cant please all of the people all of the time, just ask anyone who's married.....

id say walbro fuel pump and your good to go, if you want or can find then a set of newage sti standard top feed injectors are 550cc and more than up to the task - secondhand sets crop up at breakers/ebay/scoobynet for reasonable money. would say a 3 port solenoid and fuel pressure reg would be better than a front mount

Burnett I can but apologise for the lack of reception you recieved, sad that you didnt come over and introduce yourself - I can hand on heart say your the first person to experience this on the fling, there were several other guys who came along this year for the first time and all have promised to come back as they were made to feel so much at home. You must have left quite early as you obviously didnt come forward to sign on when I requested. And as for the nature of inter club co operation I more than extended the invitation on .net, including clarifying the position with Eddie, who was very helpful, but sadly no one was interested in coming and saying hello. I've written this in defence of my personal event, which I have nurtured specifically to encourage people to interact with new and old friends alike, any other comments are just beyond my ability to care - I have a subaru to drive it as it was meant or as my meagre abilities allow, to meet up with other people I get on with - shockingly I dont get on with every single person on this forum, amazing isnt it, but hey thats life. Now can we put all this crap to bed and remember that we're celebrating the passing of a club legend, a man respected and mocked for his dedication to going fast and screw anything that got in his way - and what better way than to take that lesson and run with it "its a drivers club, just drive"
-
and as for numbers, clubs, size of bawbags and general dick length - I really couldnt care less about it, if someone can come on a run and keep up with me or make me sweat to keep up with them , without looking like theyre going to wipeout on every corner then I dont care who they are, what club theyre in, what car they drive or theyre sexual disorientation, theyre ok with me here for a good time not a long time ladies, whatever way you get your rocks off
-
uh oh the next numbers 53 and ive just turned 35..... i feel worried.... and goats.....but mainly i feel goats......
-
Thats the one Chris, almost crashing more times than I could count along there trying to keep Higgy in sight is how i remember him - well that and his shades propped in his perfectly quaffed hair donation to something suitable would be a nice touch - I know Dale (thefastone) is talking to Higgy's fiance so whether she would like to make some input is a consideration.
-
Im with Gummy, run from central up through Glenshee to Braemar could be wrong but think it was the last big club run Higgy did before he sold Crazy Horse - i remember we took a detour along some fun twisty bits and still hit the A9 before the regular group even including a stop for a jerry can and milk bottle of methanol at the side of the road....

do the calipers black to match the AP's Rich and orange stuff might be a bit extreme, remember the rears only get a small percentage of the heat of the fronts and my ds2500's were standing up ok last time on the front

hope you got a few more guys, Ive just finished work in Dunoon so no chance im afraid

ooh I like a challenge Peter!! but weeknights are pretty much a no no for me, as Im both away all the time and still working at 7.30
-
very nice - now remember and use that shiny thing in the middle of the windscreen before you pull out because as nippy as it is us 2 wheelers will still be wanting past
-
poor Lewis, all these confusing new words have to say the pilot sport 3's I had on were great wet and dry - and the ap's and ds2500 pads were as awesome as ever, wasnt sure the pads would heat up enough with the rain but neednt have worried godspeed - for people who dont need to stop in a hurry, think itl catch on?

brakes brakes and brakes! my AP's made such a huge difference on saturday, giving me confidence that id stop every time as for power vs weight that was amply demonstrated by me and John Mcgay - my full fat car around 400hp his newly stripped around 350 and acceleration was the same, if anything maybe slightly better for John
