  3. best bits are soooo many but that very first drive home in 2000 on a sunny night with a brand new uk turbo is etched forever in my mind, chasing Higgy in crazy horse through Glen Shee, the Mcrae Gathering and all the Flings ive organised - letting me meet so many fantastic nutters Fling highlight is definitely the first Applecross run with Grant and Imy behind me in the Banana worst bit - without any doubt writing off my first scoob, still makes me want to cry
  4. DOH!!! yes Gordon, im due you a bottle - can either give you a replacement or the cash your call, completely forgot about it with all the excitement :S
  5. as theres one or two not in on the facebook banter and pics thought Id stick up a post here to say a huge thanks to everyone who came along and made the 2013 Fling a tremendous weekend and definitely the most eventful Fling ever!!! The usual great banter and amazing scenery but this years breakdowns gave a chance to show the community spirit that makes this so special So thanks again, feel free to stick your pics up those who were there and those who werent....... see you next year Dave 'Flingmeister' Shanks
  6. day one over and its been a mixed bag! weather has given us sleet, snow, rain and sun, some great roads, some poor driving from bikers (and myself ) and the fling's highest attrition rate to date - Glyns out, Kevan's loooking doubtful and Kenny should be all good to go again in the morning! On the whole driving standards have been their usual excellent selves, scenerys gorgeous even in the rain, most of us made it to Inverness on one tank and my new tyres are scrubbed in now Id say..... So bed and up bright and early for day two - looking forward to seeing the reinforcements in the morning O and todays tip is.......... bring water, especially if you have a 2.5 :s
  7. well thats me just home from work so off to the garage to finish polishing, then pack and get my new tyres in the morning - last minute, me? never.....

  10. youl be fine Paul, youl get 98 ron in ullapool so unless your really paranoid dont even need octane booster if you have a spare full size wheel might be worth sticking it in, power leads for in car charging and one of those big foam fingers for pointing at Matty when it starts snowing

  13. nice one min Id be up for a stab at this
  14. explain to her that replacing it would mean selling it and putting three years running costs in cash as well - show her some prices of what yours is worth now.... Also remind her of your wedding cake and pics and how selling it would be like losing part of that special day..... and then check if your allowed your kahunas back for the fling
  15. when you bought the runaround..... but your back on track now Paul
