  1. cmon then Andy whats your damage report? and anyone else, own up! for me damage seems limited to a new windscreen courtesy of a couple of nasty cracks - group buy on post fling windscreens anyone? although still got to investigate the boost issues i had properly.. not damage but as a result of the fling definitely new suspension for the S3, something a barge hasnt rejected would be nice thinking matched set of uprated dampers and springs to start, maybe arbs and bushes or just replace the whole car.....
  2. err ran into some old dear before i could get it done so been in the bodyshop ever since should be back soon though!
  3. the one with no impreza luck and a hairdressers car now Peter? yea thats the one i was thinking of - adjustable spoiler was the nagging bit!
  4. ive got that with mine too Martin, garage said just needs a touch of copper grease on the backing plates i think it was?
  5. hmm, wondered about the scangauge myself, think euans got one too - do they still make them? maybe a group buy opportunity.... noticed a big improvement in the s3's brakes too during and after the fling, think the pads got a good clean up lol
  6. is that a facelift interior?? i have a nagging feeling i should recognise that car from the wheels and spoiler but its not coming to me.....
  7. ok thats enough interest for me, il start finding out prices etc. think september fits into the calendar as theres not too much else on around that time and for this year probably a smaller group than the fling - kind of an expedition to find out and go back next year en mass! watch this space.....
  8. After this weekends shenanigans it got me to wondering how much interest there would be in a trip to our Celtic cousins? It would be more expensive and longer but a lot of fun. Looking at going mid September provisionally for 4 days, either mid week or long weekend. As usual is take care of the planning but before I put too much thought in I wanted to see who'd be up for it?
  9. thats probably no bad thing Andy ;)think i may have had a touch of the old red mist at that point.....
  10. best sections for me were the yellow route to applecross as i was trying to catch the main group and the road was almost totally to myself and the last stint from eilan donan to the commando memorial was epic, i like both the fast flowing stuff and the tight twistys but the s3 was definitely more suited to the former, twisty single tracks really had me missing the scoob
  11. o and this year the shirt crown was firmly claimed by Brian - something special required for next year.......
  12. thanks for all the positive comments everyone, its all the happy faces that make the organising worth while great to see the usual suspects as well as some new faces, hopefully everyone felt welcome! it really is the best bunch of guys and girls you could hope to meet, and im pleased to say that despite some spirited driving everyone made it home without much damage apart from the obligatory stone chips - or fling badge of honour as i call them glad my prebooked weather came through even if it was a day late.... and as i had to make do with the audi this year i guess il have to do it all again next year...... as long as theres some interest from you lot il keep doing it and Gus if i let you choose the dates then youl be able to make it and wheres the fun in that? :P
  13. i rate falkens right up there with godspeed brakes.... to be honest last time i had pirellis i didnt think they were much better, have been really impressed with the uniroyal rainsport 2's on the s3, seemed to cope well at the weekend the pilot sports did feel amazing on Dels hatch at the ring though, itl be them or eagle assymetrics going on mine next

  15. you joining us in perth tomorrow lewis? may take you up if you are....
  16. following my deer incident last month and a whole load of uselessness from the insurance it now looks highly unlikely my car will be ready on friday so i may need a passenger seat to inverness, preferably someone happy to travel up front.... of course if anyone has a spare scoob they trust me with.....
  17. Andy stop badgering me! and be careful or i might just have to go and dig out some favours to save my subaru pride!

  21. the mugen carbon bonnet on our integra was painted and i loved it like that, very sleeper silver mesh can be painted Barry
  22. looking at possibly getting a carbon bonnet due to time constraints for fixing the car in time for the fling and wondering if it would be a bit too chav with the vents/louvres up the side like this http://www.seiboncarbon-uk.com/pdut_detail_pic.asp?ItemID=511 or just keep it standard looking - either way itl be painted blue with the odd bit of weave exposed
  23. passing through on my way home just now and keep seeing an sti hatch in matt orange with black wheels - and i love it!!! anyone on here know who it is?
