  1. Been and seen Verdict.....poor Car is rough to say the least. Door dents, scratches, windows scratched and rusted like an old escort underneath. The hunts still on then
  2. Just checked the WRC site and I cant belive this either! Co-pilot to Marko Martin. A sad day for rallying. Thoughts are with his family and friends
  3. Ian, who has been killed? Is not Michael Park is it?
  4. Give me a week or so and I will look at my diary. If I can do something in November then I will organise it. A full days varied driving in Scottish scenery with new roads for us to try How's that sound??
  5. So many questions Im going out as a "System Tech" as they call it. It will involve looking after the Diving equipment, Bells, Helmets etc and also the larger stuff such as the pipe line ploughs, pipe laying equipment, Hydraulics, Electronics etc. Detailing service records and keeping ontop of upgrades, Modifications,Warranty work.....blah blah blah. Im glad I took this route of offshore work rather than the Rigs as I will get to travel more and specialise in areas. Plus the candy is better Thanks to the AWD guys Need to nip in ans see you all soon Stephen, I will be "tinkering" with cars in my spare time I guess. Theres still a small list to get through at the mo'!! Once I get into a routine i will be able to help folks out a bit better. Need to get my own one 100% before much longer. Its needing time spent on it to get her as I want it. Then I will probably sell her and get something a bit more special Claire & Wuliie, I dont know where I will have the next meet. Might do the Hungry Horse again. Just need to wait and see wont you And Gumball, thanks for your info over the past few weeks. Its been helpful
  6. Thanks Guys Dipsy, the job will mean I could be anywhere from the North sea to the Gulf Of Mexico. Peter, your right. The first few weeks will be the hardest to get through. Allys okay with the change. Shes just writen her letter of resignation today Shes now a housewife!! Hopefuly not a desperate one though
  7. Well, yesterday was my last day at work Got my stuff packed up and was sent home at two o clock. After over ten years in the Agri/plant business its now come to an end As of yesterday afternoon I was unemployed and the owner of a P45 In true unemployed tradition I went out for a big meal and hit the bevy ( a burger and a Bud), hoping that I had enough money to get me through the night. Now I have to face the reality. Im out of work ....but only for 48 hrs Monday morning and Im off to Aberdeen to start a new life in the Offshore industry. I will be working in Aberdeen for the first couple of weeks before I hit the seven seas in a quest for bags of gold I will be away from home for periods of up to six weeks at a time but will have rest breaks of roughly the same when im home. If all you lot are still happy with me being the Ro for my area then I would like to keep my job. I will still carry on as per normal with meets and can keep up to date with the goings on from the other side of the globe anyway thanks to the Forum Catch you all soon P.s next Central meet will be around the end of October
  8. 1. Carl Davey, Cav Turbo 2. Jamie, Scooby ...depending on shifts

  10. Cheers WRX, I will call him tomorrow
  11. Pm me me with his price for these if you like. I would get the swaping over done so he would have no costs
  12. Where is he from?? Is he local to stirling area by any chance?
  13. Not got the spare time to do this Looks like someone will get a good car when its traded in Thanks for the info anyway
  14. Do you know what kit this is? And whats his cut off time for swaping the stuff over...as in the very last minute??
  15. Front end looks like the new BMW's Nice though
  16. << Russel does a driller earn more than a rig mechanic >> In most cases the Drillers are on better £££ but if you go outwith the Rigs for Offshore work then the money is much better as I found out recently. There are still Offshore jobs that dont involve being stuck on a Rig. Im working for a French engineering company and I felt the opportunitys were better with them. 60K a year is a regular income as a Tech for some of these companys and when you specialize in an area and take on some responsibility then it goes up even more. Sounds like a great life , getting to go round the world and get paid mega candy. But remember its not all like that. Think of all the Birthdays, Christmas, etc that are missed and the fact your away from home half the year. Has its ups but also its downs
  17. Bloomin great car for someone!!! Sorry i cant help you matey I will keep my ear to the ground for you though Best of luck
  18. << the 22b was sold around two weeks ago Higgy >> Good Saves me wondering about it

  20. Im in the Offshore game now as you know Callum and I also have a good background in Drilling Think I will stick with my current job all the same
  21. Never had a problem with these on any of my Subaru's but some folk do complain that it reduces the life of the synchros due to the speed of the gear shift. I would say buy it and fit it You will need access to a 4 or 2 post ramp, failing that a good set of ramps to drive up as you need to gain access to the transmission tunnel to fit this.
  22. For sure Dipsy Just meant that I was having trouble getting the pages up. Think its more likely to be my dodgy PC Glad the guys have the problem sorted out...what ever it was anyway
  23. Yep, Im back on and running 100% Couldnt get out of the "reply to post box" for some reason Still very slow though
  24. Is it?
