Dave... This is what I had in mind...its a 2001 car now with 55K on the clock...bushes arent costly are they??? Paul
-
Thanks for the replies guys..... Im not sure Brian if thats what causing it....I mentioned it to Fraz a while ago also..so when thinking about it, its probably being going on for longer than i thought. Just seems to feel like a lot of play in the wheel...... Desperately need to get the car into Duncan at Hypertech anyway for an oil change so will get it checked over....doesnt feel like its anything to do with the Tein set up...... Chris, Gus is correct in mentioning Progrip, but bear in mind Hypertech also now do digital alignment as well. Might get this looked at also.... Paul
-
Been very dissapointed recently with the "feel" of the car....I can only describe the steering as feeling loose....there is a reasonable bit of play in the wheel when driving along even a smooth straight road....suspension is fine as the Tein kit was fitted last year....any advice guys and girls..what should I get checked out....just doesnt feel as tight as it used to (no rude comments please)???? any ideas......??? Bushes??? of am I of on a wrong tangent... Paul

Being from Belfast and involved in the Irish tarmac rallying scene for many years I can imagine what that must have been like for you. I knew Kenny many years ago when he was championing one of the first legacy rally cars....a very nice man.... not bad for someone who fixed lawnmowers for a living not so long ago eh...

sure is mate.......had a problem with mine during the summer when the car sat for a few weeks while I was on hols...came back and the CEL was on..turned out to be dirty Idle control valve...but after a few hundred miles it seemed to cure itself and the light went out...

Dave........as you know mate my kowledge of the impreza engine is almost as extensive as my knowledge of my Cheryls bedroom....but I can tell you it was the CEL light...why its on is anybodys guess....best advice i can offer is to pop along to Duncan at Hypertech if he is open and get him to pop it on the old computer to tell you whats up?? nearly sure Gav can do this for you also..if you ask nicely!!.... sorry i cant be of any more assitance but I cant be gorgeous and brainy...
