Central Area Santa Cruise 2006 December 16th 10:30am Aberlour Childrens Trust Langlees Falkirk <?xml:namespace prefix = o /> Announcing the Central regions plans for Santa Cruise this year. Our fund this year will be put to good use by buying gifts for the "Aberlour Child Care Trust". This is one of Scotland's largest Children's Charities working with over 6000 vulnerable children and young people in their 46 services throughout Scotland, which includes services in Falkirk and Stirling. Aberlour Child Care Trust works with children and young people with disabilites, parents with drugs or alcohol mis-use, young people e.g. who run away from home and Parents who find it difficult through varying degrees of issues to bring up their children. The children we will be collecting gifts for are from families who have no financial means to make their Children's Christmas Special, however with the support of Santa Cruise 2006 we can make a real difference to these children this year and make their Christmas Special. Having spoken with the charity in great detail we believe that in the true sprit of “Santa Cruise” we should get thoroughly involved in the Childrens 0-4 Christmas party at one of their projects based in the Falkirk area. My intention like the other cruises will be to travel in convoy with the cars decorated (need to find a long extension lead for my lights)…. Arriving in time to distribute the presents during the party. Central FM the local radio station are also involved and they will be following the convoy (if they can keep up) and doing live interviews with any budding stars on the day. The charity press officer will organise all this as well as arranging for the local press to be in attendance for a photo opportunity…….. So how can you help I hear you ask???? I have already in the pipeline some fundraising events that I am trying to organise to raise additional funds, to add to those already given to me by other areas within Scottish Scoobies for which I am very grateful. Will keep you all notified of these events. If anyone wishes to purchase a present to donate then by all means do so…..Its also worth bearing in mind if purchasing a gift that both Woolworth’s and Asda are doing buy one get one free type offers…….The charity are keen to point out that all gifts will be gratefully received, even items we would consider to be stocking fillers (Colouring in books, pens, crayons etc)…..These items can make a real difference to these kids…..(on a security note presents must be unwrapped) Alternatively if you wish to raise some funds or make a cash donation I will accept gratefully and add to the kitty………… Also “Stickers” like Ally has suggested to put on the cars on the day would also be good….if anyone would care to speak to a contact and pull a few free strings… So keep watching this space for further detail…. If anyone wishes to speak to me about helping or the event in more detail please pm me and I will be happy to call you and discuss….. Thanks for reading folks… Paul

as promised here are the prodrive ones on my bugeye.... cheers
-
I've got a bug eye mate.....you can change the lights okay with a few options available...depends what you mean by new style...if you mean of the latest cars then no....but for bugeyes the main options would be prodrive light pods like mine, if the car is a wrx you could change to sti lights, I;ve just sold a set of these and they are like hens teeth to find.....or another popular option are the morette headlight conversions, all depends on taste really......but either way to be honest its serious money to change from original wrx....second hand from £250 upwards or new prodrive lights are about £550 if I remember rightly.... if you need any pics just let me know..
