Why don't we all just head up on a thrash day i.e. non mag day. It'll be a couple of quid less, we'll have the timing gear and there's lots of days to choose from. Downsides, we won't have the place to ourselves and we won't be able to use it as a track.

Finnie, won't cost you a penny if you do this, Takes all of about half an hour and there's no wiring or soldering involved. Just take the case off, use the holes in it as a template amd drill a few holes through the clock surrond and drop the leds through leaving the box tucked up above the clocks. Totally normal. Shouldn't last too long though. Something else that can cause it is if the cv gator is loose on the drivers side as it can spary grease up the downpipe. If the smoke doesn't die down fairly quickly have a look under the car in case you disturbed it while fitting the piipe.

Go for it mate. Its always a nightnare trying to sell a modded car outside the enthusiast forums. If money allows I'd hold onto it and really push the boat out.
