The 20th?? You splashing the cash and getting some goodies then?
-
Don't give them the time of day mate. If they have someone interseted in your car why would that person not just look in the autotrader? If you pay the £80 you'll never hear from them again. Better to knock the money of your asking pice to make it more attractive but I'd just stick it out for a while.

You could try www.mackaytrading.co.uk in Edinburgh. They had a yellow one a while back.

No problem mate, its all yours whenever you want it.

Anyone fancy a free dishwasher? Since moving house we have an extra one and to be honest its taking up precious floorspace in my garage. Its a couple of years old but is in as new condition. It's a full size white Zanussi (sp) one if that make any differnce. Only condition is you must collect. PS2

You should have went on mate, that way I would know wether I'd be up for a race the next time. Only joking, I'll defo be there and it would be rude not to take it up the strip after driving all that way. Should try and arrange something on a non-magazine day when the strip is a lot quieter and theres not as many novas about. In fact, I'll pm you back about it.

Alright troops? Sorry for the no-show today. Return of the mystery starting problem from the MMO caught me out this moring. Tracked it down to a loose earthing strip so no more excuses. Lets see your entry numbers so I can have a gander at your times.

Sorry lads, couldn't get the car started this morning. Got a new battery for it but think its the starter motor or something. Gutted.

Pics of twins 1,2 and 3? All I saw was some cars. What a disapointment.

2 cannibals were eating a clown, one turns to the other and says does this taste funny to you? What did one snowman say to the other snowman? You smell carrots?

Matt's right about leaving early if you're wanting to go on the strip. The queue starts to build real quick so the earlier you get there the more runs you'll be able to get in. Also the cooler it is, ie earlier, the more power you'll make. Might not be a big issue at this time of year tho but you can always hope. Leaving the showcase at 08.30 would be about right. If you're just going to spectate then its not as big a deal. Word of warning for anyone going for the first time - do not speed. There's always camera vans out in force. PS2.

If heading from Glasgow I'd normally go via the Forth rather than the Kincardine. I'm up for a convoy tho.

It might be standardish Grant but it was going well yesterday, you didn't seem to have much bother keeping up with me anyway.

<< 260 and done on 1 tank (miss daisy i think) >> Ditto.

As above, many thanks to Grant and Imy. I'm sure there was a lot of effort involed and it's very much appreciated. Top day out.

Had it with the front wheels a couple of times on my old uk turbo. Also came accross a guy ready to strip the hub assembly at knockhill at a top marques night a few years ago with the same problem. I guess they're just prone to it.

Well...... When I bought my car last year it had an annoying snick when selecting fifth gear, nothing major but you knew it wasn't doing the car any favours. If you double clutched it was fine so I reckoned it would be the syncro. I put it into Greersport and asked them to replace it, which they did and the problem went away. For a while.. I only use the car at weekend so hadn't racked up many miles on it when the problem started to come back, again if you double clutched it was ok. Kept meaning to go back to Bill for some advice but then the SIDC track day at Knockhill came up and I thought it'd be rude not to take the car out for a spin (or 2). Because of the gearing on my car I had to use 5th on the Railway straight and the start/finish straight but as I was in a bit of a rush I wasn't double clutching. The snick got worse and worse until the point it was showing up on the knocklink but it kept going. It was only when I went to reverse out of my parking space for another session I realised that I'd lost reverse and 5th was none too clever either. Thought it was time to give Bill a call. I explained what'd happened and he said to bring it down and he'd have a look. Bit of a mess really. Shattered selector fork, scored syncro cone, ground syncro hub assembley. Bill split the box, replaced some of the parts free of charge, sorced what he didn't have and refitted it at a much reduced labour charge. Long story short, he stood by his earlier work and didn't shrug his sholders and say tough luck pal. Oh and he got it all together in time for the MMR.

Following my recent gearbox problems I'd just like to pass my thanks on to all the guys at Greersport. Bill, Colin and the rest of the team really bust their a$$e$ to get me back on the road and at a price even an impoverished Subaru owner could afford. If you need any work done give these guys a shout, simple as. PS2

You wish mate. BTW, better tread carefully or I might be forced to let slip your terrible secret
