  1. Very nice tyre, seems a very good price, but completely wrong at this time of year.
  2. Here's a few options for you 1: Bridgestone RE050's - £90+VAT 2: Dunlop SportMaxx - £84+VAT 3: Goodyear GSD3 F1 (Old V pattern) - £80+VAT 4: Goodyear F1 Asymetric (New pattern) - £91+VAT 5: Pirelli P Zero Assimetrico - £89+VAT Remember the VAT is always better tomorrow (15% instead of 17.5) Fitting in Paisley.
  3. Richie, is your car a 2.0 litre Blobeye? I'm slowly collecting a similar pile of bits for my wife's WRX, with the exception of the VF34 - I intend getting an Andy F TD04H to keep the drivability for her. If that is the numbers you made, then 310-320 is what I'm looking for and doesn't seem to be too optimistic .
  4. What sizes are we looking for and I can usually find somewhere good to go.
  5. STi 7 and 8 wheels are realistically the ones you are looking for. Get a set and then get them painted a stunning colour. And then as Gordon Ramsay says - DONE!!!!
  6. Right Stuart, time for yours now. Fitted the Welsho's Defi's today, and all in all I'm quite happy with the result (hope John is as happy ). Had a little indisrection with the connector that is at the back of the controller for the fuel pressure (I know I wasn't using it - so it did no harm to the unit). Used the sandwich plate, and turned all the wires in to a loom section. Looked and worked fantastically, just needs John to get the alarm settings right. Sat the controller in the single din cubby unit under the stereo. Hope John posts up some pics soon. Also hope he keeps an eye on the oil level from now on. Craig
  7. At a guess, about 6kg without the frames.
  8. Gus, send me a PM with your address. I've found quick release pins for those Strut Braces I sold you. I'll send them over so it can dress them up a little more.
  9. I thought I might be mistaken, but in the NGK ranges, a 7 is a cooler plug than a 6. Here is a link to the NGK instructional page. Useful NGK information
  10. You don't have to change your oil to change the filter - just do the filter - a genuine Subaru one is only about £6
  11. Sorry got mistaken by the title, and was going to let you know that it is the season between winter and summer.
  12. Not many other likely faults, but have you tried something as simple as a filter change?
  13. Can't really say a bad word about Duncan, definately knows his stuff, and does all wiring to a proper standard (as should everybody). Just unfortunate that he is still £60 dearer, but the man has overheads to pay. He does do a fabulous job on the Geometry settings though.
  14. I've got a set of special sockets that take off chewed bolts, so I'll get it out once you have new bolts.
  15. That's because they have to fit a secure winding mechanism. How much did the Defi's cost? Think what you are getting for your money.
  16. I can confirm that Donington is an absolute blast, and definately one of the better circuits in Britain. Craner curves are awesome, and th corner leading up over the hill on to the straight under the Dunlop bridge is a belter. I was very lucky that I was there on the RSOC National Day and used the full GP circuit. I too spun coming down the end of the craner curves, backwards on to the gravel trap, but grabbed second gear and spun it out of there. Hilarious watching everyone getting out of shape on the gravel that I had dragged on to the track next time round though.
  17. If it only for occasional track use, and not RAC MSA events, thn I would probably go for the sports recliners. Best of both worlds then. I have a set in my Legacy RS, and are superb at all times (they are Sparco ones though)
  18. FWIW, I was going by Hypertech's time of 3 hours, and reckon I would be on par with Wuz at about £75 in all for fitting.
  19. Hopefully getting to stuarted's later this week, then I should know exactly what I'm doing. Paisley is always better as I have a full workshop at my disposal. You never know when you will need burning gear and a large grinder when fitting defi's
  20. John, if it is for road use, and trying to keep it to a budget, then this is probably more suitable OMP seat or anything from that area in their catalogue
  21. Well boys, I'm fitting a set to a P1 later this week, so if all goes well, I'm up for it. I work in a garage in Paisley (my dad's) but can do them at home in Blantyre if that suits better.
  22. And where do we send the flowers to? Not disrespecting your riding abilities, just that the roads are filled with useless twats these days. Be careful sir whilst having fun.
  23. John, it's worth looking at the DT Modified Road Car catalogue, as it has reclining bucket seats. No matter what, you get, you will require new vehicle specific runners or fixed mounting rails. The downside to fitting fixed buckets with rails is that you can't modify the position for longer trips. Also, I've been on DT website, and it isn't as comprehensive as either of their catalogues (the new 2009 Motorsport one is just out by the way). Seats are always priced individually BTW, excluding VAT and carriage. The best place to try seats is to go to the Autosport show, where virtually every style of seat is on show from all the manufacturer's. Hope this helps
  24. With careful positioning and packing, that lot should fit on a pallet, and then it would cost approx £50 to get the pallet to Scotland. A hell of a lot cheaper than a drive to london and back
  25. How bad was the proper driver at changing gear though, it was bouncing off the limiter!!!!
