Anyone recommend a good conservatory company??
dave_morgan replied to dave_morgan's topic in Scottish Scoobies
NO - I don't want one made of tubular stainless steel !!!!! -
Actually I've had a change of heart - I will put the particulars up after all..... Link to my house................ I wish.....
-
OUCH indeed !! Need to remember not to try that one at home !!
-
I'm going to get a conservatory built at my new pad and want to make sure a decent job gets done. Any recommendations in and around the Edinburgh area ? It'll probably be between 16 and 20 sq m.
-
I was going to add the link to the 'FOR SALE' section I have to admit, but I'm not sure I want to advertise where I stay on a public forum so decided against it However, if anyone is interested in a 3 bedroom detached house with a garage on the south side of Edinburgh, please PM me and I'll give you details. I'll be looking for around 200k if that answers your question Brian !!??!!

It's a lightish blue colour - possibly reddish/blue. I'll need to dig it out and check for you. There are no spoilers on it, although it did originally have them. I'm pretty sure it's perfect, but again I'll double check and come back to you if you're interested.

I've had the above RR'd @ 425bhp @ 1 bar, but the turbo's are good for 1.2. The engine's been built for a lot more though as it's had all the internals upgraded. Big turbo and some injectors and away you go!

Top....

Yeah, good point. Tell him he needs to get himself one of these.... Link to a proper fast car...

Next one is June 12th... http://www.sidc.co.uk/article/default.asp?art_id=141 If you're not a SIDC member you might get on, but only if there are places left after the members have signed up (ie members get priority). I'm sure no-one will object if he joins the club though... he'll come to his senses and buy an impreza one day anyway, so may as well join up now!! Dave

Completely Off-Topic - Tax Return Form Help?
dave_morgan replied to oobster's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Information you'll need for filling it in.... - Total pay for last year and tax paid (get all this from your P60). - Personal pension contributions info (if you're a high rate tax payer you might be able to claim BACK money !!) - Details of any dividends received in the last tax year (and tax paid) - Details of all interest paid on your bank accounts (and tax paid) - Details of any company expenses paid As far as I can remember this is all I usually need as I'm on PAYE and don't have a company car or anything complicated. The first one is a bit of a b1tch, but they get easier over time. I'll be on my 5th one this year . If you dump a lot into a personal pension, the good news is you should get some cash back (if you're a high rate payer), as the pension companies only give you tax relief at the lower rate, but you're entitled to it at the high rate. This can amount to a reasonable amount of cash if you put decent amounts into your pension. If it's a company pension forget it though, as it's paid before tax anyway. Have fun, and don't leave it till the last minute, as they always take longer than you think!! You may also need to request information from your employer/pension companies if you can't find everything you need immediately. HTH Dave -
I'm just waiting for the C&C advert to somehow find it's way in here !! I really should just spend the money and put an advert in the trader huh !!??!!
-
I had the same problems with agencies with a few of my cars. My stock answer was - "I'll give you personally (to the salesperson) twice what you're asking for, if you sell my car." If their service was any good, they'd take your hand off !

<< Buying and Selling Advice >> Simple .... Sell Subaru (www.autotrader.co.uk) Buy Skyline (www.subaru.me.uk/gtr)

Warm the car up so the old oil is less viscous (to get more out), unscrew the sump plug and filter and let drain for as long as you can, then fill the new filter to the very top before fitting, refit plug with new washer, fill engine with oil and ideally turn it over without starting to circulate the oil before starting up (you'll need to unplug electrics for that bit). Job's a good un!
