like others have said, its not Swiggi's car. that car belonged to Del and Kate, ran around with us same time Swiggi did. Del used to post on here under the name "SEEVERS" - a quick search on his name shows he done some mods on the car

a simpler suggestion but my speedo make a ticking noise when I've reset the trip counter and it wasnt fully depressed when i reset it, the numbers "click" when the dials turn

well done Stuart, you've now got a Limited Print AND a A1 poster signed by Jimmy and here we go again! print 6: "a donation to charity" print 7: 100% to charity interesting to see that this is the 2nd print that this particular eBay seller has listed edit to add this was the 1st item he listed - no mention of anything going to charity must admit it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth to see these on eBay but I'm getting a sense of satisfaction to see our ones are selling better than the others that are wanting to profit from our event

Farewell SWRT message board
-
yup, sad day, topic is already covered here
-
aye Ian, st3ph3n is right, the guy that won the SWRT prize was happily working away at Rally GB, it was done and dusted 2 weekends ago i'm also gutted to hear that SWRT are out of the WRC next year - we were all set to go to Ireland as well dont want to go if its only Citroen and Ford in the game oh, and without getting too technical, does the new"S2000" rule mean that 4wd cant compete?

Nicky Grist decided to commission a painting by artist Fran Richley ... depicts Colin doing what he did best: driving a World Rally Car extremely quickly, on this occasion during the snowy stages of the 1998 Swedish Rally. ... ‘Master Class’ is raising money for the Colin McRae Vision Foundation with a percentage of every sale being donated to the charity. ... Only 800 of each of the two print sizes will be produced with every print being personally signed by both the artist and Nicky Grist. for those of you with money to spend, there are 2 sizes of prints, £59 or £118 (excl p&p) the picture on this page does look rather special... ha ha its called a "parisienne balcony" dahling -
aye but how easy will it be to post a framed poster further afield in the week before Christmas? plus not sure how keen folk would be to help the Glasgow Santa Cruise, its our local thing, not a McRae thing. would prefer to keep this one local tbh

Bailey, thanks for this incredible gesture and withdrawing your auction, it means a lot to me. I hope your situation improves soon. and Dunc, Bailey's auction was the 2nd one that was put on eBay, not the 3rd one that appeared last night and copied my words

in case any of you are tempted to spend a couple of hundred pounds on a print, hang fire and wait for these to be finalised and put on sale. Give your money to the cause instead of lining someone elses pockets.... Prints 2 to 6 have already been signed by Jimmy McRae and have been passed to SWRT to get more signatures for us. Prints 550 to 555 will be auctioned off on eBay International. As a super special bonus, they will come with a copy of a McRae Gathering sticker (an original registration one) which has been signed by the old timers and rally legends during the McRae Stages in Perth.

nah, I'm not going to name and shame, its not worth stooping to their level. and ffs, at least make up your own words if you're making up an advert and listing our item on eBay dont use the words that I wrote, it took me ages to write our website updates edit to add that the 3rd eBay listing is even using the cardboard tube and bubble wrap that we had to source and get. oh the cheek of it..... dont know whether to laugh or cry

it makes me sick. honestly my stomach dropped when I saw it sold for £345 and the charity is only getting 40%. the worse thing is that Grant and I are still working our ar$es off on this, the event is still "live" for us, and will be until we hand all the money we've raised to the McRae family. this has taken over our lives for the past 12 months and we have spent our own money, from our own pocket, paying for things to make it happen. For some guy to keep 60% himself is disgusting. whats even more nauseous is I had to make companies like Roger Clark Motorsport, Scoobyclinic and even Subaru UK promise and swear blind that they can only have a display stand at Warwick on the proviso that THEY DO NOT MAKE ANY MONEY from our event - it is a fundraising event for Colin, not a trade show. this eBayer has just sucked all our hard work down the drain and is the ONLY ONE to profit from this for very little effort (so far). yes I know the print is theirs to sell, but this is how I feel and its sucks and yes I also know that there may be a spate of other folk selling their print and it makes me think "whats the point in doing this." I dont want to go online anymore. the Gathering has become too personal for me.

have fun, hope its not too wet and muddy and you get to see some stages

Peter, can you delete Prize no 15 from your list of prizes, we're auctioning the poster instead of raffle'ing it i've got a works do in Leeds that night so you'll need to find another helper for the raffle and put me down for £10 of tickets, I could do with some of that booze (ahem vodka or the Moet) thats up for grabs thanks babe
