Big Andy.....Chill out man! This is an open forum and I don't think anyone has the right to tell someone else not to post especially not SIDC members. I wasn't slating your idea as such but I do slate Max Power as a pile of pish. not everything in sight please note, just Max Power. i could also add comments about willie robertson's capitalist agenda but you will find out about that at the gate. I didn't join the SIDC to go to these events and this kind of 1/4 mile stuff is new on here. Now I know a lot of people seem to like them but I can't for the life of me understand why. I actually live just off the road to Crail and I see the stupid tossers driving along that road to the events and driving like idiots. It is not a straightforward swap just to stick carbs on a Mi16 (45s BTW) The standard injection system is pretty good and good enough for the standard cams. S6CUB... I don't mean any offence to you or to the pepole at the Crail thingie but I live just off one of the roads to Crail and some of the driving is insane. Also the attention you got may be a two edged sword if you know what I mean. I wouldn't let anyone there know where you lived. I am sure you have seen the threads about the stolens Scoob and car thefts. that kind of puts a damper on the flag at your house too although I would have come to visit. I admire your enthusiasm and don't want to discourage you but the SIDC has carved it's owned place and has a unique niche I think. It is out of the mass of "chavdom" and not in the eliteism of the sportscar clubs. In fact we are accessible to both as the SIDC track days show. The track days are the jewel in the crown and very highly regarded. Some people even come all the way from the south of England (eh Phil) This is just my opinion and I am not trying to upset anyone. I realise everyone is not as old or as anti-social as me.

Aha now there is the rub. Dollies are a grey area. It seems that they can be used for recovery (by people in the motor trade) but for moving cars. Although I have seen people using them at autocrosses. car trailers are hard to get a hold of although I have been toying with the idea of replacing my own one for a better one. but ££££s Daz/Ian I can't emphasise enough that you read the info on 205gtidrivers.com and the forum before you spend any money on new parts. most of the aftermarket stuff for gti's is crap! I would advise you to clean your afm and get it tuned and serviced. Get a 1.9 oil cooler and make sure the fan works. Check the rear beam is working properly and consider the best shocks you can afford. Brake pads I don't know about I am afraid.
