  1. I heard yesterday that one of our own has got access to a WRC Scoob and to see it one would have to go to Crail on the 4th.
  2. Craig.... I am not sure what you are referring to TBH. The most vocal person on the forum at the minute is yourself IMHO and I have no problem with that at all. I like hearing what you have done and indeed I enjoy reading your posts but you have to remember that those who stick their heads above the parapet get shot at. It seems, and you referred to this in your post that most of us just read the posts and don't say anything at all. So I am not aware of who has wound you up. Anyway I am not sure whether my opinion is of any interest to anyone especially as the only car I own I don't modify is the Scoob cos Mrs Z won't let me. []
  3. What are you telling me Dave? It is a bit of a swim to Peterhead for Micky D's He doesn't get to modify anything either with his track record. []
  4. There is a chance he will be sent out with me next week. Boy will that floor be clean [6] We are still looking for folk but need to be engineers or qualified. pm me for more info
  5. Finally managed to get some gainful employment and is doing his RGIT survival this week. So if he doesn't drown or toast he will soon be offshore getting pennies to complete his rebuild. Well done mate and just wait until we work together [6]
  6. Some interesting ideas folks. Personally I will be out autocrossing next year and that is my priority but I will try and make anything else happening. I noticed someone suggested a night-time navigational rally. I can organise one of those but it takes a bit of map training before people can do one. (sat navs don't help at all BTW []) so there would have to be a fair bit of interest to make that worthwhile. Bute sounds excellent Wilky!
  7. You mean this Mazda?
  8. It was definately John Gray. He is still rallying.
  9. The car in question was white so it could have been del's old motor. I didn't see it cos I was working while Mrs Z was out street racing! [:@]
  10. Was it anyone from the forum that was on Anderson Drive in Aberdeen last night about 7.30pm? I was in a blue new age WRX. Mrs Z
  11. Progress [] http://www.wrc.com/page/StageTimes/0,,10111~200618,00.html
  12. Come on Colin! http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/14102006/23/gro...es-further.html
  13. The Crail Stages is on the 4th November and as usual marshals are required. This event shows Crail at its best with wide open stages where cars can stretch their legs and get sideways through the corners. The spectating is excellent and you can see 4 or 5 cars going for it at any one time. Now the last few events have banned spectators from the infield (where the spectating is best) on safety grounds so the best way to view the event is to marshal. Now the only difficult bit is getting there for 08:30 as there needs to be a briefing and job allocation before the start at 09:00. Daylight is limited at this time of year so everything needs to get off sharp. Also the most entertaining stages are the forst 2 before the tarmac gets the slime/frost cleaned off it. Corsa will back this up I am sure. The cars will include scoobs, evos, Mk2 escorts and pug 205s and even a lime green Corsa[] So come on folks. Lets see some enthusiasm for the best event of the year at Crail. []
  14. The 4th November is the "Crail Stages rally" and Snday morning will be when they will be collecting the bales and dismantling the stages. Don't think camping will be an option as the place is mobbed until after dark on the Saturday and you won't be allowed onto the airfield until the rally is finished.
  15. Spotted this on ebay. now you know I like grasstracking and I would love a special but..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUTOGRASS-RACE-CAR-C...1QQcmdZViewItem
  16. OFFSHORE [] Otherwise I would be up in my favourite forest stage of all time, Drummond Hill. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?cli...;multimap.y=270
  17. Higgy Any joy on a location for that idea we talked about last time? If yes I will get some info to you when I am next home. We could make a very interesting event []
  18. Announcing the new Fife RO.......Higgy After holding the post for a year I figure it is time for someone else to have a go and keep it fresh. the Fife group has grown from almost nothing to a healthy bunch and last month's run was a good way to go out I reckon. So without further ado I hand you over to the master of the spell-checker...Higgy. [] Best of luck m8!
  19. You know if it was anyone other than you Grant I would have told them off for some crappy OT remarks but since it is you I know it is all true. Gonna get the life story serialised in the News of the World? I'd buy it. []
  20. Well I caught nothing! Mind you wild fish aren't in the same league as pellet fed stockies IMHO [] On the Grantown assoc stretch of the Spey on Saturday. The river was a foot up and very peaty but I persevered with the fly even though the locals wee out with big Rapalas and Tobies. However no joy with my Cascades and Pot belly pigs. fantastic day though and lovely stretch of water.
  21. Wasn't that Alastair? He was the works Mitsubishi driver.
  22. ohhh. Hope it was nothing too serious Peter.
  23. OK. So who was the broken down car being towed by the black scoob I saw tonight?
  24. Regarding the changes I talked about at the last meet. I was thinking about bringing things to a close so if anyone else has anything to say about the proposals could they please send me a pm and if anyone is wondering what the hell I am talking about then send me a pm as well. [] Altenatively give me a shout on MSN. zeolite-at-hotmail.com Cheers Ian
