  1. "got a goood set of adjustable ohlins shocks from a very good friend of mines" Blimey. Scrap must be getting a good price nowadays!
  2. Last heat and these two got a bit close and personal Low-flying Toyota
  3. Ahhh. Got the wrong end of the stick there [] A few of the stoney guys just pick up what they can and turn up on the day. All you need is a helmet and suit for yourself while the car needs a harness and handheld extinguisher (not forgetting mudflaps). £35 and off you go.
  4. bigbadboab.....No. He got beat. You think driving on a loose surface is easy. It takes skill, balls and know how. It is not like smooth tarmac driving. You have to find the traction, keep your momentum and stay out of the holes. On that track yesterday there was a big bump that one or two were getting airborne and I can tell you that when Foz and I went over it the Pugs' backend would wag side to side.
  5. Foz....Glad to see you are such a gracious winner. Who was it who said " where's my ******* champagne?" [] I just have to rebuild the car again for you. For those who don't know what autocross is about here are a couple of vids for you. http://www.aneccc-autox.co.uk/cgi-bin/ib31...ct=ST;f=5;t=133 http://www.aneccc-autox.co.uk/cgi-bin/ib31...ct=ST;f=5;t=135
  6. FAO SWRT... Don't use pirelli rubber. Use Colway remoulds []
  7. Craig...That piece of Jap tech would fall to pieces at the first bump. [] Cracking day today and I have caught the sun too. Track didn't cut up so bad and the banger race at the end was hilarious.
  8. Finally the pug got a class win, overall win and fastest time of the day. Was at the Stonehaven autocross today and the pug was first and second overall. Unfortunately Foz was first and I was second.[] but then he owns half of it. Well done Lowell. First motorsport trophy. Creationracing leading the way
  9. Devastating news. Met Paul a few times and he was always full of life and attitude. He will be missed. Ian and Yvonne
  10. I have heard rumours of a Stonehaven autocross for the 3rd of September. Any fitlikers with more info?
  11. If someone is planning on building a car I have some safety equip I could donate to the project.
  12. "And giving you the opportunity to call me a Ladyboy to my face." It's gonna take a LOT of make-up for that to happen" [] Callum...You and Andy should get together and sort out your gearbox woes.
  13. Hi mate. This meet will be a good one to go to http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/746713/ShowPost.aspx We will have a wee run up through some back roads and meet up with the Tayside guys. We meet every month and try to do different things and any ideas are welcome.
  14. Been editing some of the best pics from the last year. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/1003/zeo...amp;media=image
  15. dusty..cough, cough A pinto engined special giving it death Yours truly banging off the limiter This shed was once a VVC engined coil-overed super fast race car. It had just had an endo. 2 of the winner. John Wight in his superbly fast Golf. I just like this shot All in all a great day with 25 entries, some very fast cars and a really demanding track which really tested the driving. The only downside was the dust which stopped us running 2 at a time. Hello to Graham who popped in to see what was going on.
  16. Fantastic track! Big,wide, flat, open field which really stretched the cars. The weather was great and some very fast cars out. John Wights golf was blisteringly fast. the only problem was the dust. Pics tomorrow and maybe video.
  17. Col No I was busy rebuilding the Pug after Stonehaven. It is back in one piece again and ready to race.
  18. The racing really starts from 12:00 and usually goes on until 15:30 16:30 ish.
  19. Craig mac..The voice of reason [] Phil...I was saying that the ROs DO organise things m8 and I gave examples. I thought JC would be up for this so best of luck guys and have fun.
  20. Sorry m8 I was just kidding. Tragic result.
  21. Phil...As regards events; This was a question that Spooks put up on wed night. "What do you want?" if there are events that folk want to do then they should let the ROs know about them. I hadn't heard about this Crail event before and I am sure I am not alone. if we don't know about them then we can't do anything. Spooks has been busy this year (as always) with F and M, Jim Clark and Santa cruise events, Del has run a few events with a big day for the RB run, Ken just did the national day with JohnS, Paul555, Ally-b and JC are pretty new in the job and getting settled in and I have been offshore most of the year (although we have a run at the end of the month.) Don't forget that JohnS runs 3 track days a year as well. My point is that we need notice and enthusiasm to get things arranged. Let your RO know what you want to do in good time and if they can't do it they can delegate to someone who can. Having said all that I can't make the Sept 10th as I will be racing at an autocross in the borders (if I am at home)but as I said before you don't need an RO.
  22. You don't have to be a RO to organise an event Craig. Just as long as you let folks know what you want to do and give a bit of warning then go for it. I am sure advice and encouragement will be forthcoming.
  23. Craig. What site did the info come from?
  24. Did you have a little trip to Wales Chris? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/4777127.stm
