I use Autoglym leather cleaner and a soft nail brush to clean then Autoglym conditioner applied in a heavy coat, leave overnight then buff off the next day. I have used this stuff on my wife's old Mercedes, her current coupe and our BMW Z3, all with good results.

i'm open to abuse on this one...... when my wheels arrived they were shod with fullrun tyres (18"). I was planning on waiting a month or 2 then replace them with something decent. for the 1st 1k miles or so they were awful in the dry and worse in the wet but then I noticed they were starting to grip well. I have now had them for 15 months and they are very sticky. I have done a hillclimb day on them, used them in the snow and they are great. if you can scrub them in in a short period of time then they are good tyres but I think they use way too much mould release on them so at first they are pants. they are certainly better than some of the Michelins I have used in the past.

does this still apply if the car is in standard (non PPP) tune?

thanks Don, I thought this might be the case. yes, I have changed the head unit but the original unit was rubbish too. I will double check the connections.

if you don't mind me hijacking your thread?....... I have similar issues with my hawk. the difference is it doesn't have an aerial (I think it uses the rear window heater or similar?) anyone got any suggestions on how to improve the reception?

sounds like you have the dreaded knocking rear struts - mine were the same. you just need new struts and use the same springs. I got mine from powerstation who have some new ones left over from some of their conversions they did to new cars. give them a call.

why do some people just not care about other people's property? drove me Scoob to work and kept looking out of the window every hour or so to find no one had parked next to it so I knew it was safe and sound.........yeah, right! left work, got to the car to find someone had driven into the rear quarter panel! I have the security guards looking through the video footage but I am not hopeful as the camera are utter rubbish. I have had a quote for the repairs and it comes out at £600! why can't the person who did it just own up to it? ......... W@**er!!!
