  1. Oo oo how about a time trial. As in the one when you have to be on time and get the best average. That would take tons of planning though. Or for a truly horrific experience we could see how many laps of the m25 we could do before we'd want to kill ourselves
  2. What about a subaru 24 hour marathon? Teams of four or 5 cars dishing out laps? Thing is then we'd need a track and that costs. Just trying to think of different ideas
  3. Well, we've got this far! There will be a charity out there somewhere that will want us to help. Unless that charity is the petrol companies. They'll love 50+ scoobies turning up at their pumps
  4. Same as the nur challenge. Why do we always get the brown end of the special edition stick?
  5. Thanks for the ti but me and the missus are saving for a trip to spain. Ive promised her no more scoob spending till may. Ill be looking for bits after that in the few weeks up to japfest.
  6. I know milbrook rents out their facilities. Think we still need an airfield though. Might check google earth for potential spots
  7. Just successfully debadged my car and I think I've done a pretty good job. First shot is to get an idea of whole look and second shot shows where the WRX was. One other thing. I was wondering if anyone has the OBD Kiwi bluetooth thing and if they use DashCommand? Got it myself and it's a great bit of kit. I just don't think I have set it up right. I know my car was running at 338BHP when it was remapped by Jolly Green Monster, but when I floor it the OBD shows a max of 225BHP. Does the OBD read BHP at the fly wheel or wheels. The latter would explain the lower power reading. Oh and I know this might seem like a stupid question, but my radiator fans don't seem to be spinning. Do they not always spin?
  8. Any news on this? Thought I'd keep the thread going to keep interest? Should do some drag racing
  9. Do you leave the lights switched to "on" when you turn car off? I've heard it's like leaving a plug on in your house. Still uses leccy, but has no where to go.
  10. Sainsburys do a particularly hot mexicana cheese. Which I can't handle but the missus laps up
  11. That Megan racing one is pretty close actually. It should fit given it fits an older saloon
  12. Whilst that looks awesome. I tried a currency converter and it's over 5k for the kit. Just want to get the s206 nurburgring challenge look, but finding a spoiler is proving difficult. When I'm back from road trip to northern Spain in the scoob I'll do the rest of the engine bay for japfest
  13. I know of a few scooby drivers in my line of work I can try and get involved. I'll certainly put the feelers out. Maybe a series of simultaneous track days for scoobies only, with a proportion of the money going to the charity could be an idea. Along with Subaru UK help too. I guess it depends on numbers.
  14. I have a time consuming job. The above post would suit me brilliantly. I'm only 5 minutes from that services. I'm not sure pro drive would approve. They have ceased their association with Subaru and road cars A Subaru track day at Rockingham might suit. It's not far from the prodrive place
  15. On the subject of spoilers. I still haven't found an S206 Nur spoiler. I know they're out there, I can feel it. Haven't even found anything close.
  16. Maybe do a cross Britain time trial with a track attack at the end
  17. That was a bit silly. Think they just did it to show the difference between a quick car and mentally fast car.
  18. I've only driven the latest edition. I've a 2010 wrx sti. Modded to 340ish bhp. Just make sure you get one with a spoiler of sorts saloon looks naked without one. Also haggle with the dealer. I managed to get a set of pro drive gt 2 19s and tyres for free! Just gave the dealer an ultimatum. They'll want to sell the car no matter what. Don't take their mud flap offer though. They say they'll "force fit" them. Instead get some rally armors and fit them yourself. I can't compare it to other scoobies in its drive but it's the best car I've owned and driven and that includes a Nissan gtr Any more questions feel free Matt
  19. Maybe even ask the charity themselves if they'll support it?
  20. His wrc record is pants. He's more show than go. Good documentary. Just watched it. Emotional in places and hoy is a tasty driver!
  21. Do you think ken block uses any excuse to advertise monster energy drinks and dc shoes. I think he's a brilliant driver. Just his reputation didn't seem to fit the tone of the programme
  22. Just a thought, and bit of a moan. It is my first winter with my scooby and seeing that I have mud flaps and winter tyres I thought "well that helps road users behind me as there is less spray aiding their visability". And as most of the A1M just north of London was down to one lane, I again thought "Some people go so slow on the inside that it's forcing me on the outside lane thus carving a path through the snow and enabling drivers to do the same". If people used all the lanes offered to them instead of cramming into just one then maybe there wouldn't be so much sodding traffic.
  23. It will undoubtedly win, but I am sure Clarkson and May will hammer it.
  24. You could cover your wheels in cling film before every drive?
