  1. That video...... Possibly the oddest choice of music maybe?
  2. I'll be taking my scoob to northern spain and back in april. Wonder what the farthest afield someone has gone in theirs!

  4. I ummed and ahhd for a while and considered the legalities, but I've gone and tinted me rear lights and I'm very pleased with the results. The first pic is before, the second is after and the third is just a close with the lights on. Sorry for not getting good lighting conditions, but I'm not god! I was careful not to go too dark and especially not to go over the reverse lights and indicators. If anyone wants to know how I did mine, just ask, but I learned via youtube
  5. It does look like that prodrive car. I thought the impreza "replacement" was going to be a hatch back. I remember Don had found some pics
  6. Looks nice, but can't help think its lost some its wrx'ness. I know its not a replacement for the impreza but it still be nice to have a rally bred car
  7. Would that due to the remap? I assume thats not a massive problem in the meantime. I tend to let the oil get to temp before I foot down anywhere. I usually let the car get settled before I drive hard.
  8. Hello all. Just had my car serviced (thank you Scoobyworld), but have noticed an odd sound coming from the following area as high lighted in the pic. Folks at Scoobyworld pointed it out, but I knew of the noise already. From what I can tell it is coming from the front right piston housing where the timing belt runs also. It is a reciprocating, slight grinding sort of noise that only seems to sound when idle every second or so that goes away after about 5 minutes. I'm off to Spain in a couple of weeks and will probably do a couple thousand miles in the scoob. Is this a problem I can sort out when I get back as long as I don't boot it or should I take a look assess and get it fixed? Can't really afford to do it before I go Edit: Sorry just noticed picture is wrong way up! Just imagine it turned 90 degress clockwise
  9. Lip kit, side skirts and rear diffuser. HT Autos of course!
  10. What about Prestwold Hall? It's in the midlands and a few miles east of the M1 (Loughborough). It is a stately home, but has a race track. They do track days there, but have all the space and facilities we'd need. I went for a friends wedding 2 years ago.
  11. Dito, like the style but too small!
  12. I've heard the French toll roads measure your average speed between tolls and fine you when you get to the next one. Is this true or scaremongering?
  13. It does seem that way. I take it all the usual names have been contacted. Pro r, scooby world, scooby parts, ra motorsport etc etc Is that the idea of sellers we are on about?
  14. Ive got some new spark plugs but I think it maybe beyond me to change them myself.
  15. Good point made above. My speedo is out by about 4mph at 60mph. Using kiwi blue tooth and dash command it shows me doing 60 when the speedo is 64 to 65. The circumference of my wheels are bigger than the standards. Think I'll put standards on pump them up to a decent psi and take the brace off. Apparently the toll roads in france meassure your average speed between the toll gates. So I'll just sit at 60 and should be able to squeeze 400 miles out of a tank. Are there any additives for fuel that can get a few extra miles? I mean ones that actually work?
  16. I thought that if you have a bigger wheel it takes more effort for it to turn but it travels further during a full rotation than a smaller one. Also my larger wheels are lighter but not as comfortable. That reminds me. I must take the strut brace off before I go. I have cruise control but whilst its a nice commodity I can get better mpg when using a careful foot. Anybody else find this?
  17. Seems like a boring topic I know but heres my question. Im driving to northern spain in april with a nights stop in france in my scoobie. I currently have 19inch wheels on but still have the original 18inch sti wheels too. Which would be best for fuel consumption. The smaller wheel or the larger. I have my theories but also guess the difference is negligible.
  18. Yen is strong against the pound at the moment and they built then in very limited numbers. However I would be very jealous if you were to get one. Im trying to change mine into one. Even have a carbon fibre roof. But ahem, its wrapped. Looks great though!
  19. Why does david coulthard have a museum? He's a better pundit than he was a driver
  20. I had an ST which I modded to 280bhp and was as quick as an RS if not a bit quicker as it was lighter. Loved it really did. Don't know about a hawkeye, but my wrx sti is much better.
  21. If youre feeling adventurous import a s206 nurburgring challenge. I think its about as good as the last model gets
  22. Oo oo how about a time trial. As in the one when you have to be on time and get the best average. That would take tons of planning though. Or for a truly horrific experience we could see how many laps of the m25 we could do before we'd want to kill ourselves
