Leaving saturday mornin to get down there for 8:15 so i can get on the stand..... Question is Do i A) - leave at 4am and drive the 266 miles / 4hrs 15min solid until i get there. Or.. - leave at 03:30am drive 133miles / 2hours solid and pull in somewhere get out stretch the legs for 30mins then continue... Im deciding between the extra 30mins kip as i wont finish work until 21:30 and get to bed until 22:30 tonight and been up since 6am. Or. Get up earlier and stop halfway so my 6ft 5" frame can get out and stretch lol. Option c would be leave for oulton park after work and sleep in car when i get down there lol at 2am.

was just looking for insurance quotes as mine is up for renewl in a cpl months, and came across sky insurance, http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/ saw they have a car club scheme where they give discounts to car clubs if their registered with them and the club owners just click a link to register the club and send some imformation like club age and member numbers so forth. think in some previous insurance threads people have posted saying theyve had good deals from sky insurance and they good to deal with. so the next question is..... are we/ is the SIDC registered with them? i tried looking for a list of clubs they have on their site and couldnt see any, it just shows car make badges of various types of cars they have registered, they did have a subaru badge but nowhere to say what subaru club its with .

If you were Aiming for over the 1000 bHP
thebigfelly replied to braveheart's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Lots of time going by the bugatti veyron programe i watched on discovery channel last night. Not to get of the topic but they said when originly done it had 3000bhp which 2000bhp was lost through heat when the just had the engine hooked up in the test place And it wasnt equiped to handle the kinda of heat the exhausts on the building nearly burnt the place down. When originaly road testing the car going at top speed had a 6ft flame coming out the back and they had to redesign the exhaust on car and make from Titanium. As for doing my own car id gues lots of money time and patience -
was just browsing flee bay and came across this scoob for sale, reading over it seemed it little dodgy , just wondering if anyone else thought it was dodgy aswel , im not looking to buy one but just browsing as it goes, my spelling/grammar isnt great but if i was selling a car online i think id use spell checker, especialy when spelling mechanic - macanic lol also its a wrx with not many mods then states loads of mods running 285bhp and doesnt state service history or that but says service history is mint , and was side swipped on a round about clearly not the guys fault , anyway il let yous ( the boffins) have a look for yourself and tell me if im being paranoid http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-TURBO-GREY-/270729926233?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f08c2d659

On my phone at work. Hope thats not my car. If so the gf has been taking it out without permision whilr i get the bus lol. Yeah what can i say its a work in progress. Wish mines had the mods underneath the bonnet aswel. Getting to bazs level is my aim. On the looks front anyway not brave enough to put the scoob on a diet. Seein my mate next week whos just started up his own advertising company and has the machines to do vinyl for cars so gona see what i can get from him

After seeing pictures of wulseys impresive machine It has got me thinkin of a couple things and left me feeling inspired 1- how hard/easy is it to clean/wash the engine bay or various compents in the engine bay as im a bit paranoid about using a power washer or bucket of water anywhere inside the engine bay espcialy with the top mount intercooler sittin there. And is there any chemical solutions id need to buy to help clean inside it. 2- samco hoses In blue. ... Being a complete novice how hard to fit? And are they in a kit/pack with the various hoses specific for a scoob or do i buy them individualy and what price would i be looking at. Any info on either would be much apreciated. Cheers paul

Looks great mate. Minted and dogs dangleys spring to mind. Got me thnking about getting the engine bay cleaned and tarted up with samcos. Inspiring is all i can say infact which is a good thing. Gives other members ideas about things to do or things that can be done

Ahh sunny mayfield. Used to stay up there for 18years. Been busy today with mothers day and getting round both sets of parents and dinner. Sorry couldnt be more help.

Just looking at google maps and wondering what people think the best route would be. I was thinking the a7 down until it joins the M6 or basicly A68 down to hawick A7 until it joins M6 and just follow M6 all the way there until i turn off for the smaller roads to get to oulton park. A7 and A68 both on my door step in dalkieth
