  1. Worst: Minted 1 previous owner, FVSH, Low Mileage, 2ltr Astra GSi. What a pile of poop, spent more time in the garage with stupid faults than it did in my driveway. Best, I miss the STi badly: Most comfortable, and astounding sound system, the current V50 T5 R-Design Excellent motor (apart from when turning corners )
  2. SIDC rarely now Pistonheads BoingBoing qbn.com A couple of Lolvo forums flickr digg Meant to say, also use chrome and wave, not used googles yet!
  3. Can't believe this has happened to you of all people Noel, you would't harm a fly! Britain sucks sometimes
  4. Nice idea to remember Dougie. He was certainly a character and a half, I'll never forget his contagious laugh, can still hear it to this day It's amazing, for all he was going through the smile never came off his face. He does make you think when we are all arguing/angry about the stupidest of things. Dougie, and all his family, will be/are in my thoughts. Neil. p.s. I'll add more photos later, don't have them to hand right now.
  5. Looking good Davie! Must clean the T5
  6. Mods for 2010, hmm, I want a car with 4WD The amount of time I've been stuck in snow over winter is depressing.
  7. Ta JC The Robins? Never mind the fact I have bare feet and am lying in a hammock in the snow This shot took me most of the day yesterday to stage, the wife thinks I'm mental Meant to say JC, that last shot of yours is superb, stunning light, nice one!
  8. Chillin' in my garden after a hectic Christmas & New Year.
  9. Davie, here's one I took the other day with the same lens, but with the 40D (should get similar results with the 350 though). And the settings: Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800) Aperture: f/8.0 Focal Length: 400 mm ISO Speed: 100 With the 100-400 you want to switch Image Stabalisation off (IS on makes the lens vibrate and causes shake). Although the shake is very little, it is multilplied drastically when shooting an object around 240,000 miles away Stick the camera on a sturdy tripod (mounting the lens to the tripod) Switch "Mirror Lockup" off on the camera, can't remember how to do this with the 350d to be honest. RTFM! Do you have a cable release? If so, use it. If you don't, switch the camera on timer, this minimises camera shake again. Also, remove any UV filters you have on the lens, no need for them. Manually focus the shot, you should see the red dot flash through the viewfinder when it's in focus. Also, crop the shot so you just have the moon! I think this is all, give me a shout if you need further help
  10. For those of you who value English grammar, I'll translate. My local tip has it's own cage for disposing of them, so I'm assuming most of them will supply them. If you go there I'm assuming they will give you one for free. Mine normally gets emptied once a week, and there is normally 15 to 20 of them. I still don't understand what's being said there Emne.
  11. These are excellent John, very creative
  12. Forget slow wifi, invest in a homeplug It comes with everything you need and is up to 4 times faster than wifi. Got this setup, very easy to get going, it's basically a wired network but runs through your mains. Great system especially if you stream media from your pc to the xbox or ps3.
  13. Always fancied a civic myself, and am currently on the lookout for a little runaround (to replace the c2 vts, what to get...)
  14. Tidy looking motor Mike! I had a look at the Audi's when my boy arrived a couple of months back, but couldn't resist the urge of my new daddy wagon T5 mind you, give the little boy racers a run for their money
  15. Basically (the way I see it), A new "world government" will be created to manage the "co2 trading process" We are more polluting than underdeveloped countries, and will trade (or give them money) to use their co2 quota (or part of). Who'll pay for this I wonder? Companies are going to be taxed to the hilt for the emissions they pump out, which will have a knock on effect to our pockets. Do you think these companies may just pop out of the UK and move into some "greener", less wealthy countries? I'm no scientist, but after reading up on the whole shambles that is "Man made global warming", I'm pretty worried about this. If the whole global warming is made up (as it seems to be) then why should we put up with this?
  16. It's all going a bit pear-shaped this week. The BBC are "reporting" the story, albeit in an biased way (as per usual). Newsnight was interesting last night, I wanted to watch it again so popped over to iPlayer later on (only to discover that the version there had been edited!). They really are a bunch of cheeky barstewards, who do they think they are? Do they not realise it's us that pay to keep them going? The original newsnight is on youtube though, worth a look Part 1 and Part 2. Gordon Brown said: "climate-change sceptics are 'flat-earthers' People who doubt that human activity contributes to global warming are “flat-earthers” and “anti-science”. The w***er. Al Gore has pulled out of Copenhagen News is all over the worlds press about the emails, and the shambles that is "Global Warming" Yet still, we are being suppressed by the UK's tv and newspapers Wake up people, pay f**king attention, we are being screwed here. If the Copenhagen treaty is signed, we truly are fecked.
  17. My cousin uses mollymaid, he's used them for years, he highly recommends them!
  18. Tomorrow's Daily Express ^ only two weeks behind, but at least it's being talked about now!!
  19. A "little" update, "Professor Phil Jones has today announced that he will stand aside as Director of the Climatic Research Unit until the completion of an independent Review resulting from allegations following the hacking and publication of emails from the Unit." God bless the internet, who needs mainstream media
  20. This is getting ridiculous now, google starting to fiddle the figures for the word "climategate"? What the ****? Up until a few days ago, typing in the word "climategate" in their search, the dropdown (or let me guess what you are looking for) showed climategate as the first word when you typed in "climateg". Now, it doesn't show at all! The cheeky *******s. It seems that Al Gore is a Senior Advisor to Google!! Also, googles results for the word has dropped a few million, wierd Back to our lovely BBC. I sent them an email to complain about their lack of coverage of this whole issue. Email from me to them: Their reply: The day I posted that email to them (and coming days), the stories were of very little importance, for example, "Fishermen say Man Made Global Warming is real because they saw a weird fish" (or words to that extent). I give up, off to book my tickets to a desert island somewhere. Goodbye
  21. I really need to get this game too, which console/platform to get it for though What would you recommend between a quad core gaming PC / xbox 360 elite / ps3 or wii (ok, maybe ignore the wii), way too many choices, hmmmmm I'm guessing pc will be best for quality, but lack of 42" hd telly, HELP!!!!
  22. John, the BBC have too much to lose, i.e. licence fees (which we pay by the way). But still, the government decide how much they get. Just look at the "global warming" stories that are being covered right now on the beeb. In fact, since last Friday (when the emails were released) the beeb seem to have increased their "You are all killing the polar bears" type stories. Did you know that Polar Bears are on the increase throughout the world? 41. 'Commonwealth Talks Target Climate' - Fri 27th Nov: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8382014.stm.... 40. 23. It's been amazing watching this story unravel, watched it since Friday (the day the files were released). The power of the internet is truly phenomenal. Google results for "climategate" have almost doubled in the last 12 hours to 6.1 million! The hilarious thing though, searching the BBC for the same word shows 0 results Lots of news happening today: 5 Australian MPs resign at disgust over carbon tax US Congress investigates Climategate e-mails Senator Launches "Climategate" Investigation: Warns Participants to Retain Documents There's a hell of a lot more out there, WAKE UP UK MEDIA AND GOVERNMENT!!!
  24. Running out of fossil fuels is not the reason we are paying over £400 in road tax. Our road tax is based on CO2 emissions, which was supposed to harm the environment, which is false. When will we be refunded due to the governments "mistake"?? I have no issue with saving energy, needless waste is pointless. What I am raging about is the fact that we have been lied to (again) by the people who are supposed to be running our ****hole of a country. On another note, remember David Bellamy? Wondering where he went? BBC are supposed to be non-biased, yet they completely spin the release of these emails as only "hacking" and it's nothing to worry about.
