  3. well after putting the car back together i got out for a blast today (on the track), the porting worked well spooling up a bit quicker and pulling better BUT working TOO well as the engine management light came on flat out in 5th gear, oh fek back down to trundling speed car felt ok, so got home and plugged in the lap top and yes we have fuel cut due to over boosting
  4. 5 x 100 is PCD, wheel offset is also the distance from the centre-line of the wheel to the hub face. Therefore : If you put a wheel on the same hub with a bigger offset, the wheel will sit further inside the wheel arch because the wheels bolting face will have to move further in to meet the hub. Alternatively if it has a smaller offset it will sit further out from the wheel arch.
  5. finished painting the header tank last night so put it back together today since its nice and sunny for a change
  6. welcome to the fold m8 and the best looking scoob in the best colour

  8. got the headers back on this morning after picking up new gaskets the postman dropped a set of header tank mounts to stop the heat soak into the manifold, so made a start and thought fek it i will clean up the rust spots on the header tank header tank still in the garage getting painted away to head out the now to give it another coat more pics to follow
  9. Pro-R filter feels a lot better than the green, got the Whiteline ARB's fitted today along with new solid drop links, car feels like a go cart now wish i had done then to start with got the headers off today time for some porting (pics in a few days of the porting) some light porting today, i took a lot of casting off from the inside which will give better faster exhaust gas flow, smoothed and widened out the openings to the cast manifolds put some wrap on the centre link pipe stuck the manifolds back on
  10. another wee add on i picked up from Andy at RA, just a new turbo to get then fit a new clutch before fitting them and a re-map just a wee bit more shopping today a nice VF35 to go with the pinks, turbo now re-sold changed my mind got the eibach camber bolts today thought i better try the Pro-R filter (pipercross) 3 layer of foam just what you want to help your MAF and some new gaskets for when i remove the headers for porting and heat wrapping did a wee bit today, fitted a stainless radiator cooling plate, with the cold air feed from behind the fog lamp it has now been removed and i made, painted and fitted a grille, thought i better fit the Pro-R air filter since its a 5 min job, thats the voltage stabiliser and grounding kit fitted Radiator plate fitted cold air feed grille Pro-R filter voltage stabiliser and grounding kit fitted (stabiliser at side of battery)
  11. time for an update its been a long time STi seats and wheels sold so back in standard alloys had enough of the standard stereo so ordered a new head unit, a cubby hole for under it and some door speaker pods, just to order some speakers next. cold air feed and HKS fitted the cold air induction kit with HKS filter today

  17. subaru 4 pots or bigger is brembo but you need the wheels to clear both
  18. headlights fold in and the guns pop out James bond style
  19. fek whats wrong calling the thread epic ?? for a guy with basic tools and limited knowledge like he said doing this on a drive in spare time to a daily runner with limited time and budget i think it is. as for hub bolts without seeing the bolts in question you can not say "the rear hub bolts can be removed" but as you say there is a lot more could be done if you had the time to do it, like strip the underside down to the shell
  20. very nice m8,the car will be better than new with that all done, thats a ace idea with the inner tube
