  2. Needing rebuild at 50k is crap look after in properly and it will last 4 times that. Classics are getting old so check for rust as it is a nightmare to get rid off. Typical places are rear arches and top of the winscreen. Obviously check for accident damage. Don't worry about block build unlesss your planning for 500bhp+ Also full service history is essential and check that it has been re-mapped if mods have been carried out
  3. A tip from somebody who bought a car with a few problems that I should have been sorted day 1. Get them fixed ASAP it will only cost you more the longer you leave them. To be more positive it looks like a lovely motor. Look after it and enjoy it

  10. If you have the reg you can just try an insurance quote and type in the plate and it will tell you what make and model the van is. Unsure if you can find out who the owner is??
  11. Used them twice and they have been spot on. Very helpful and the prices are negotiable
  12. Can confirm no damage to the bore Appears to be oil the wrong side of the pistons though indicating worn rings
  13. He didn't
  14. I was with Greenlight but had a big fall out with them. Was with Keith Michaels before i took the car off the road paying about £600ish and im 27 with 5NCD and no points all mods declared
  15. To be fair he did a good job with my dash so il let him off
  16. Well finally did a bit stripped the block down. Was sold as mint and running perfect. Oil was like seriously black water and as you will see below it is mint as the owner thought. I always planned to strip the engine and have it given the 2.1 treatment anyway. But imagine if some poor person had bought it and just fitted it. Just text the guy i bought it off will see what he has to say
  17. Well due to having no spare time for once iv done nothing to the car of late. Hopefully it will be ready to have the T45 cage fitted by July August time. Got the CDB on the stand and started removing heads etc Decided that im not messing about so will be going rotated turbo set up straight away Bought myself some more tools battery 24v impact gun, more spanners as i never seem to be able to find the size i need so decided if i have 4 full sets i should be able to find the correct sizes more easily, would probably help if i didn't leave stuff lying at my a*** all the time
  18. I have an original RB5 and P1 brochure
  19. Not getting picked up for a couple of weeks as i basically don't have time till im next home
  20. Make sure you test the gearbox at high revs as i know classic boxes with worn synchros don't crunch under normal driving but do under load. Make sure it is straight and don't buy it because it looks mint as that means it has usually just been painted!! These are from my own experiences and the car is still going strong although it's off the road eeing improved

  22. You will find that your ££££ in Canada will only get you an ordinary house in Aberdeen. Average house price in Central Aberdeen £197,000!!!

  24. Some of my favourites The gambler This dude wanted a driving lesson his lines were awful The other half liked this because of the paw marks. It sounded ropey and finally broke in the final Link to my whole album http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/ciara...ockhill%202010/
  25. Do it. You will get circa 4k for a mint bog standard car. Also I have a whole uk turbo set up and want a 6 speed. You would make the asking price between selling the car and just the box alone.
