  1. They were already on the car Im re-fitting some 2 pots for the excitement
  2. You should add more power to justify bigger brakes. Braking is for wimps although I do love my 6 pot Ap's all the same
  3. Get a project thread done and just remember to take pic's it's not that hard plus makes great reading for me when i should be working

  5. Rather bizzare to come all that way and not buy it. Youv'e not realy lost anything by him not buying it though so no need to be mad. I sold a MK2 valver golf in 2002 put it up for sale for £1800. Was by no means a minter but had full leather air con and a few sought after extras. I had put it in the paper not realy expecting much intrest. Had not even washed the car just wanted to see if anybody would actually phone. I had 23 phone calls the first day. Guy wanted to come and see it that evening i stated that i was actually still using it and it needed washed and all my stuff taken out. He said it was ok. Anyway get home from college and the guys already there He has a look around no test drive and says I will give you £2k (£200 over asking price) if i can take it away now. Strangely enough I emptied the personal contents of my car onto the ground sorted out the paper and off he went. Heard afterwards that he wrote the car off about 3 weeks later. Sometimes it's just your luck with private sales, im sure if it's as mint as you say it will sell soon
  6. Thats new ages for ya pish How many litres of fuel does the RB320 hold? My v2 sti only seems to be about 50 and i get about 150-200 miles from that
  7. The exhaust is just a bit squint in the tunnel meaning it rattles. Just need the end cut off and adjusted so it sits straight manage that?

  10. Well decided on a 10% methanol mix. Mapping went very smoothly as always with Andy F. No ideas of actual figures? any ideas folks? Forged 2.1 with TD05 20g 550's with full 3" decat standard heads and mapped for 10% methanol on an Apexi running a Z32 MAF? Car actually scares me now it's bloody fast up to 10* It will do to run about in till the track car is finished
  11. Yes finally passed yesterday and 3" de-cat re-fitted within 2 hours You never know i may actually make a meet with an Impreza
  12. Well I have realy missed the burble while im building my project so bought my self this Used to belong to coulty on here. Rough spec for those who don't know STI V2 Forged 2.1 TD05/06 20g 3" decat Running Apexi ECU Brakes AP racing 6 pots Straight cut PPG gearbox to be fitted in due course I have been having a few issues with emmissions but today it finally passed the MOT Car requires a remap due to me changing from a Mafsim to a Z32 MAF. Mapping on monday to suit this and a 20% methanol mix Hoping for high 300's which will keep me happy till The other car is finished Only thing getting done is the front end is getting a facelift with a set of Morrette twin headlights.

  17. I have heard about people having wheels break after they have been powder coated due to the process weakning the alloy!! I would go for paint myself far easier to repair if required and cheaper if you strip and prep them yourself and just get somebody to paint them

  20. Sounds like it's in limp mode. Can't remember how you reset the ECU somebody will be along shortly to say how though. Only put super unleaded or V-power in your car nothing else

  23. It is a 2.0 GT TDI 140 already had a re-map and I only got it this afternoon
  24. Yes reverse it is basically the only thing it was going to be if it's not standard
  25. Well my main worry has been that when i fit a big turbo that car will become a lag beast. So I have looked various options to reduce this. VVT heads were an option but rather expensive. Im just going for the theory that the shorter the intercooler pipework the less there lag will be. Purchased this, experts will notice the subtle difference with this over a normal inlet manifold Also sold all peugeots I owned the 206hdi, 306 diesel and 306 Rallye and bought a decent runabout Also bought another Impreza which will be used for a bit of fun till the other Impreza is finished as it may be a while and I miss the burble No pics till i come back from offshore on the 30th
