  1. Thanks for the advice guys, some top tips there It's a private night limited to 15 cars, and most of them are in TVR's or Mustangs... so I should be numpty free hopefully I'll get my support crew ready with the Landrover then. Anyone know the best place to buy cheap jerry cans? Oh and if anyone wants to come watch feel free. It would be good to have some pics of it on track as it's unlikely to be doing it again
  2. you can get it on Amazon I think
  3. cheers dude, first 2 are kina givens haha Think I better invest in some Jerry cans then, I can't see half a tank lasting the 2 hours
  4. Got a loan of the book Boyracers from a mate, and being from Falkirk - where it's set in the late 90's - I thought I'd give it a go It focuses on 4 young guys and their social life - going for nights out, racing people in their car, trying to be a hit with the girls. It really is the funniest, most realistic and perfectly written book that I've read for ages! It was set at around the time I started to become involved with nights out in Falkirk and the cruising scene, and there's so many characters and incidents that I had totally forgotten about Well done Alan Bissett for his first book-totally amazing! Aparently there's going to be a movie about it soonish too
  5. Buy it before I get back onshore... or I will! That is stunning
  6. Well I've finally got my finger out and get the RB booked onto a KH track night on Thursday, 14th May Now I've been round KH a few times before, but the last time was 2 years ago with my old MG ZR - and that was in a monsoon Any tips or advice before I go out? Like tyre pressures, the best diff setting to use ect... oh and how much fuel am I likely to use? Last time I just had enough left to limp home on fumes haha
  7. couldn't afford a 911 then? Get used to hearing that alot. Too much of a womans car for me I'd vote for the S2000, Honda in Falkirk has a very very nice blue one in at the moment
  8. stop it! lol I know I know I can't really complain... but more is always nice! My ECU knows it's a play thing, it never tootles anywhere
  9. Ah right that makes sense now Cusco kid is the man to see about Whiteline stuff, he's just over the water in Fife. I'm going to see him myself when I get back on dry land for some goodies for mine
  10. a bit of ECU re-learning possibly Putting a link to Andy F's site was a bad idea... I can feel my credit card squirming already
  11. most places will look past mods if there is no way that they could have caused the fault that you are in for, but say you did modify the suspension then had drivetrain problems for example... they might well say it could have been caused by the mods there can't be much of a warrenty left on yours by now? Mine is an 07 and has under a year to go
  12. I can't shout about Brembos enough, amazing power for the price And they look good too
  13. I'm the same, but normally get a "who the hell are you" look back 9 times out of 10
  14. From my dealins with making them in the past I'd keep it Scotland only.... if you get too many cars involved it gets very very complicated - plus if you keep it local you have more chance of your car being in it
  15. would work on a Hemi.... that's just silly
  16. I've done a calendar for the MG owners club for the past 3 years, and to be honest that FTO one on then other page blows it right out of the water. Top job I'd deffo be in for one on here
  17. Welcome mate. My other half has a flat in Pefferbank so I'll keep an eye out for you
  18. hmm, 24hr built in survailance!
  19. I saw Tokyo Drift there and the number of Corsa's trying to drift out of the carpark and crashing made it all worth it
  20. not really much that could have been done about that then At least they found out what caused it quite quickly
  21. it's a bit harder to fit too depending on where you want to pipe it back to. I had just a catch tank fitted to my last car and it only needed emptied once a month, so it just became part of the monthly car routine
  22. oooo I wouldn't do that, as it might knock the wheel alignment off. It's better to adjust the strut brake to suit the shock bolts It'll be a tight fit... but it's supposed to be. Also make sure when you take the bolts off the car is on as flat a ground as you can get it
  23. my missus saw it last Monday at some advanced review screening and has been winding me up about it ever since lol I saw it Friday and I have to say it was great. Not nearly as many cars as I would have liked but you can tell the whole thing has "matured" a bit since the last bunch But now I'm a bit confused. With Han from the 3rd one, at the start of the 4th one.... does that mean the 4th one was actually set before the 3rd one? It makes your head hurt lol
