  1. a dirty car rules me out straight away!
  2. I don't own a printer at the moment, so I'll need to sweet talk Caroline later and get her to do it!
  3. it's a bit of a false idea, as you still need to hang around so you can lock it once it stops I've got a Blitz DTT that is quite good and easy to use. It works out how long the car needs to cool down depending on how you drive it - and it has a boost gauge which is quite handy if you don't want a full on 52mm gauge Was simple enough to wire in too
  4. at least you did it properly! Looks like it was a nasty one
  5. I've been running the other half to work alot at the Royal hospital recently, so it might have been me.... what was the reg? Flippin typical I never see any!
  6. technically it's both... it started life as a Rover then turned into an MG lol
  7. cheers dude the speedo is broken so 0 to 60 is.... erm.... quick, estimated about 260 bhp but it's running rich so I've no idea how accurate that is and the last owner saw 160 on the gps (on a runway of course) so the gearing is a tad on the tall side I think
  8. Better late than never It had an SIDC tax disk holder I think
  9. After almost putting the RB320 on the track last month and deciding at the last minute I was being silly... I went out and bought myself this little weapon Some pictures of the build... The brakes all needed replaced as the rear pads were almost down to the metal, one of the callipers was so seized I couldn't turn the wheel and the front disks were badly damaged by rust spots New callipers were fitted to the back and some nice new Mintex disks and racing pads to the front next I took the seat out and re-welded it to suit my long legs, this time drilling a few hoes just incase it needs moved in the future Then after we were confident that we had it almost running right it was packed up and shipped off to Knockhill for a testing session with it's big brother, a 520bhp V8 ZT Now this is what you call an engine! At Knockhill So what did Knockhill tell me about the car? Quite alot actually. The gear change for a start is terrible. It refused to change from 4th to 3rd for the hairpin and was just as bad going up the gears. Finally the clutch cable broke so I'm hoping that's what was causing the problems. Secondly the gearing is far far too high for track work as I rarely managed to get it into 4th even on the long back straight... so that needs changing As far as handling goes that was all fine. The Toyo R888's were alot better than I expected and the coilovers - although a little soft possibly - made for very quick cornering. I think chunkier anti-roll bars might be a good next step though. I also discovered that the temperature gauge is playing up. Most of the night it sat off the bottom of the scale, only to shoot right off the top of it after a few laps on the track when clearly it wasn't that hot... more investigation required there I think! 10. I'll 2nd that.... the key to going fast on trackdays is consistancy and being able to carry the speed - so get everything that isn't needed ripped out and invest in some decent coilovers There's a tracknight with Dreadnought next Thursday if you fancy giving it a shake down... I'm taking the ZR to it
  11. yeah it is a bit daft in places But above all else, it's supposed to be a p*ss take - and it pulls that off perfectly
  12. some fantastic pics there mate... looked like a good day out. I've never seen that many Jordans together bofore! I'd deffo be away home with that white Evo 10 though!
  13. Still makes it look like it's been in a crash
  14. Looks like a fantastic day out... well done guys
  15. I've quite enjoyed the last two films too, so long as you don't take them too serously. Yes I have to admit I was a bit dissapointed at the lack of cars this time round, and Miss Brewster in her NSX didn't get nearly enough screen time for my liking But as before they've left it wide open for another one I was actually wondering if this one was set before Tokyo Drift... the way Vin and Haun split it seemed that way to me anyway
  16. ah you got it sorted out at last then? Can't wait to see it A few of us are heading to Stirling Cruise afterwards if you fancy it? (code for "I want a blast in the GTR" lol)
  17. yeah it was last week. I wasn't at it myslef due to being offshore. The pics are on the Falkirk Cruise website Probably that daft trend of packing the hinges out so it sits up higher.... venting hot air like a street racer yo! Any decent vinal place should be able to do it
  18. errrr no I quite like the light coloured one... better than the blue IMO
  19. right well that's my room booked too... no going back now!
