Wow what a morning I had today! Long story short brother woke me by calling at 6am saying the Pug 406 had broken down coming bk to devizes. Got up and out and was one of the 1st cars on the snow with no other cars around = ALOT of fun Went to go up the dual carriageway out of devizes towards Swindon and on my side were 2 lorries not being able to get up the hill but on the other side coming down the hill was a tanker artic lorry thingy which had totally jack-knifed leaving the trailer at a near perfect 90 degree angle to the road so blocking the cboth lanes his side and over the central reservation. Good old scooby went straight up and over no problems. Found brother only to see a van and a car parked up in front of him.... The car had slowed down to pass my brother and the van never! How the hell the car missed my brother's car after being whacked from behind by the van fook knows. Managed to get brothers car off the road and into a farm entrance, found fan belt snapped so back to devizes we went to pug garage. VERY nearly got stuck on the central reservation coming back into town as obviously had to cross over due to the jack-knifed artic! Got fan belt went back to the car but couldn't figure out how it should go, so back to pug garage to get drawing, again nearly beaching myself on the central reservation. Went to go back up and long line of cars sat at the bottom.... Didn't have time to sit and wait for someone to do something so out into the un-used outside lane and up over the dual carriageway, once again no probalem for the scooby at all. Done fan belt then off to work I went. Tell ya the scooby was AMAZING! My brother now wants a 4 wheel drive car.... I shall convert him to a scooby owner yet Oh and my brother had just tried to get to work but made it as far as Marlborough only to find a lorry had jack-knifed in the middle of the town so headed back.... Good job to or else he'd been miles away when the belt snapped and not just 3 miles outta devizes!

When I got the scooby out of the workshop Monday I was some what bewildered when I opened the door.... The whole point of it being in a garage is to keep it clean and dry LOL Oh and I've not in anyway photoshop'd the picture! Bloody gap in the tiles on the roof and just so happens my car was parked right in the wrong place lol Give you some idea how thick the snow actually was..... Oh and Dave I've found you the perfect missus, just about the right height as well....

OMG Just looked outside my window and its a full on blizzard going on. Half hour ago it was clear out and now there's at least 3inches of snow already! Yey keep this up and I'm not even gonna attempt to get to work in the morning... Day off on the sledge instead me thinks lol

Well I don't think I'm gonna part-x it, just way too low price. Can I afford to buy it out right tho is the question and at what price. It is a bit on the high side but how many yellow type-r's do you see about. Am keeping my eye on a couple of others I've found as well and to be fair they're all around the 5-6k mark. I do luv my scooby to bits, and it does look pretty mean and sounds nice but just to get the engine 'properly' up together I'm looking at about a grand, then there's a few other bit n bob's that still need doing which would cost another grand or so... Money which would be better spent towards a new motor, one without all the little annoying bits that need putting right. I know it's the annoying bits that makes owning the car 'enjoyable' but I've already spent nearly double on it what I was planning to so think it's time just to cut my losses and move on! Think if I can get them down a bit more then I may just go for it, and yeah keep my one until i sell it privately or something.... Decisions decisions, decisions...!

Yeah dont i know it, the car owes me about 4.5k!!!! Having only had it a year I'vev had to put in a recon engine, new radiator, new clutch, cam belt kit, done the full exhaust, front bumper repaired and resprayed etc etc etc the list goes on. I know I wont get anything near what it owes me but £1600 is just too low, 2k I guess i would take. SP yes it's from a garage, I would ask the parents for the money but typical they're on a cruise in the middle of who knows where so cant get hold of them. Then I could buy the type-r and take time selling the current one... Here it is.... http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...search_full.y=9
-
So after looking at the yellow type-r... I WANT IT!!!! Lol Question is what do I do with the current scooby? Do I brake it? Do I part-ex it which they offered £1600 or do I put it up for sale privately and hope I get a quick sale? What would you do?

That's what I say to my brother/dad.... Yet they seem to think sitting on their fat a***s all day long is tiring..... OK they may have to handle 32ton of truck but still poor excuse if you ask me lol

-
I can't wait for the summer, bring it on Just need to decide tho what i'm gonna do with the scooby..... Said this year I'd get a yellow type-r and I've got the 'urge' again Lol

Cheque book... Umm... I'll have to see if I can find it! I NEVER use it, think I've had the same one for getting on 6 years+ and think I've only used about 7 or 8 cheques out of it if that! -
